As much as I like Huff, I like Piper even more. I know some complain about the cab on the back but I'm a toy influence guy so it looks good to me. And the toy head really completes this guy. Well done Badcube. IMG_2511.JPG IMG_2512.JPG IMG_2513.JPG

Got huff in today. Really solid little bot. He's definitely the most solid badcube bot I own. Well done badcube.

I've been sayin' that all along!
Why are people hating on a figure that merely recreates its G1 predecessor perfectly!?!?!

So what is the real deal when it comes to the color of Pipes? I've seen all blue all around and I've seen blue with the front top part white. So what's the best way to approach a redue on the paint, should I want to go that route?

Finally got my Huff from Netclow (eBay). Fast shipping from him. Well packaged! As for Huff, all I can is is "WOW!!!" I am very happy with this guy. The cab looks better in-hand to me, and I don't mind it at all. EVERYTHING else about this fella is FANTASTIC! The orange paint is close enough to the orange plastic. I'm good with it. Articulation is great, aesthetics is great, pretty much a pure WIN of a figure. Probably going to be one of my favorites. Feels quality to me as well.

I found that on my copy of huff, the ball peg hinge that attaches the foot to the ankle is way too tight. A half turn with a phillips head screwdriver does wonders to help in transforming him back to truck mode.

Thanks. I forgot to mention that mine are extremely tight. I think I'll do what you recommended. I love this little guy.

Just got Huff in from rub/ShowZ. I never owned the 1st release so very happy to finally have this guy. I haven't transformed him or messed with him much yet since technically I'm supposed to be working right now but will give more thoughts on him later. Also gotta get him a logo.

For now he's rolling around with his S1 minibuddies and showing off his strength :)

Definitely Huff and Xtransbots Klaatu are my favourite 3P minibots of the year. Looking for decent reprolabels for them now.

Just got Piper yesterday, still waiting on Huff 2.0... Piper is surprisingly good. I almost didnt' get him because I had XTB Stax but I'm glad I did, it's a MUCH better toy overall in addition to being a far closer representation of his show model. Stax is now permanently relegated to his (admittedly decent looking) truck mode.

It IS just a WHOLE lot of blue and white but I used the red visor face sculpt and slapped a Reprolabel on his chest and the red now breaks up all that blue and whiteness nicely. While I feel it's kind of plain looking, I also feel like the character just IS kind of plain looking so I'm not sure what BadCube could have done to spruce it up without deviating from the source material.

Piper has me pretty excited for Huff 2.0. They did a really, really good job of using the back sides of his legs to make the ENTIRE figure look different even though the parts of the lower body you see in robot mode are basically the same. (the legs ARE different though... you can really tell in truck modes)

Surprised by how much i like this figure. The backpack is all sorts of hilarious but it's pretty accurate to Pipes so i can live with that.
He's a surprisingly fun figure to play around with and pose. Very easy to get into quite dynamic poses

My huff came with a misspackaged card. I got a black Mp style card with pipes on it. Unfortunately I kind of like the cards and have a book. Anyone not using their card interested in parting with it. I can't live like this.

Damn. I was always going to struggle accepting Pipes but those side on views just kill it for me. It looks completely ridiculous. The entire cab just sitting on his back, completely hollow and with a honking big armature visible underneath. A case where they’ve taken toy accuracy too far. The backpack was never that obnoxious in the cartooon. It’s just all kinds of lazy that BC used a gimmick to compact Huff, but didn’t bother working out a unique trick with Piper. Just like their not bothering to give Hoist a more unique look. These kind of mould mates NEED extra effort to make the characters distinctive. The lazy G1 era remoulding efforts doesn’t cut it with MP.
Piper needed a collapsing mechanism of some sort on that cab.
