There's a ton of various figures that have been released since 1984, many ranging from good to spectacular to average and even some are just terrible. Of course like many aspects of life, one individuals trash may be treasure to others. For me its Armada Scavenger. I got him along with several other Armada figures for $30 at a local Goodwill and while the figure is lacking in articulation (nearly the entire Armada catalog) I do enjoy the figure and interesting enough the electronics still work.

So folks what are some figures that get a bad rap or what are considered terrible yet you still enjoy?

G1 Broadside. I see the problems in the toy, but I like to think of the potential.

Dollar store Insectobots, and the like. As shitty as many of em are, there were a few important ones that I had as a kid, and their 2-3 dollar price point still keeps em afloat.

I thought those Insectobots in the 99 cent store were original molds.

I'm sure they were at one point, but they've been around since the 80's, some of which even of the same molds with only slight (if any sticker or random accessory variations). If anything, that's part of the appeal. They still hold up today in their own way, and its like being able to nab a G1 toy odd discount retail. My favorite's easily the Mosquito with boobs. :)

as much of a dud as my dotm starscream was, his vehicle mode was a work of art and the mechtech was actually pretty cool.

I'd like to say that Cybertron Override is a terrible toy, but I've never really heard much on it. It's certainly not a gem, but I do love having it in my collection, regardless of the toy's actual quality.

    Cybertron Dirt Boss, too.

Henkei Rodimus. The articulation sucks ass but I like the look of the figure.

g1 Rodimus. Ugly brick but fun to transform with a very clean alt mode and I like the trailer gimmick.

Mudflap (Tuner) - ROTF Main Line - TFW2005

I've ended up really liking this figure simply because so many people hate it. I deliberately paid the full amount for one when it came out as well. All that results in is me putting my money where my mouth is.

Now, G1 Wheelie I genuinely enjoy, because I really like the character. However, my affinity for the character is much stronger because the fandom as a whole tends to shun Wheelie.

Also, I REALLY like 2007 movie Optimus Prime (leader). I think many are so much more enamored with the RotF figure that it's too easily forgotten how cool and fun this figure is.

RotF Blaze Master. Yeah, it gets a lot of flak, but I actually really enjoy the figure. It's fun to transform once you figure out how without popping pieces off all over the place, and it's a good, solid fun toy.

RotF Supreme Devastator- it does exactly what the movie one did in that the vehicles are it's alt mode. No need for the individual pieces to have bot modes since they all make up Devastator's alt mode. Aside from being brickish, it's downright fun.

G1 firecons. These are horrible, horrible toys, and the epitome of G1 brickishness.
But unlike most of the rest of that line now, I like them for some reason. They have a charm to them that screams 'Don't hate us because we're terrible', and yet they are. Then why can't I pass them by without picking at least one up and fiddling with it???

I actually always thought that fig looked intriguing. I like that mold despite what people say about him and Skids. The only reason I never picked him up was because I already had the main line version, and I preferred the movie accuracy.

Also, we get a thread like this about once a month, but anyway:

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I still love fiddling with RotF Demolishor. I just wish his alt. mode was closer to the real thing.

But Animated Leader Megatron is easily one of the best Megatron toys ever hands down.
