I was just checking out amazon jp, to see if they had a Pla Rail Narita Express, they did and the price is alright so I decided to buy it for my son (we used N'EX while in Japan and the kid liked it). When I proceeded to checkout (note; amazon jp actually doesn't ship outside Japan unless it's a book or CD/DVD, I use a proxy service), I noticed they now have an option to pay with AU$ since my credit card is issued here, and the bill was almost $30! WTF It's now AU$1 = JP￥58 according to XE - Universal Currency Converter It was about 80yen 6 weeks ago, 75yen 3 weeks ago. I came to Ausrtalia first time about 12 years ago, and even back then it was like 65 yen for 1 Aussie dollar. I don't know how other currencies are faring, but if you are an Aussie shopping at HLJ or other places with yen price tags, watch out I hope it improves soon.
