So a couple of months ago, I bought tickets to a comedy show here in Jersey. At the Count Basie Theater in Red Bank. Going to see "The Killers of Comedy" tour, featuring members and frequent guests of the "Howard Stern Show". Reverend Bob Levy, Jim Florentine (Crank Yankers, etc. "I got mail!"), Yucko the Clown, "Sal the Stockbroker" Governale, Richard Christie, and Shuli.

So today at the shop, customer comes in. He's part of Oncor Entertainment, who are the show's promoters. Guy asks if any of us want tickets. Told him I had already bought them a couple of months ago. So he thanks me, and says "Write down your name for me." So I said alright. Wasn't sure what the hell for. Then he tells me to go to the box office before the show to pick up some backstage passes. Kick ass!

This'll be the 3rd time I've had backstage passes. One time for a Sammy Hagar concert, and the other for a Def Leppard concert.

Anyone else ever get backstage passes before?

Oh, and a little write up of the show I'm attending:

Had some for Megadeth, Deftones, Slayer, Fear Factory, Ozzy, White Zombie, Alice in Chains, Cold, Morbid Angel, Strapping Young Lad, Prong, Anthrax, Warrant (haha), Dangerous Toys, Motley Crue, Aerosmith, Deicide, Slipknot, DC Talk, Pantera and a few others.

Backstage passes do rule, backstage (and busses) is where the real fun is at

This year had the privilege to take pictures of our church band at one of the biggest festivals of the year, at least in our area. lol

Bands that were playing: Red, Thousand Foot Krutch, Kutless, Day of Fire and Audio A. It was awesome! I had an All Access Stage Pass, which meant I could go ANYWHERE! And to top it off, free lunch and dinner with the bands! Man, it felt great to flash that little card and get, side stage, backstage, front row, and free massage. Didn't know the latter till AFTER the concert. Boo. Still, it was a great experience and hope to go again next year.

That is 'nuff quality backstage passes....

Best I can compete is playing support for Exodus, Anthrax, Lost Prophets and *ahem* Rock Bitch.
That's not all the same bill BTW, that would be a bit crazy.

They were yelling out "Strimp" and "Hedonism" the whole time Bob was on.

Got to meet everyone except Richard Christie. He was taking a dump apparently when I went backstage.

Beetlejuice is just hilarious, and Jimmy "I got mail! Yaaaay!" Flourentine rocks.

Guns, Danzig, Testament, Nevermore, and many other countless Hard Rock and Metal Acts.

You have good taste in music! ;)

Overkill is one of my favorite bands, long live the thrash metal scene!
I've met them a bunch of times, I don't always have a pass but when I see Blitz, he remembers me, possibly because I'm usually the only girl there.

As for laughing at Warrant, I actually ended up in their hotel room a few years back, it's not what you think, the Warrant guys are gross these days. :lol
But yeah, everyone was watching House Party and eating candy, while Jani Lane went outside with a briefcase to count his money. I think this is a big step away from the crazy aftershow parties of the 80s! I have to say, I expected a bit more excitement, but it's something I still laugh about.

I sat around with David Allen Coe while he smoked pot. He's old. It sucked.

Haha thats pretty cool though. I wouldn't mind smoking with him when he was in his prime, back in the 70's. His stuff he did with Shel Silverstein is awesome, "N*gger Fucker" is a too funny song, I still can't believe that the guy that wrote "The Giving Tree" cowrote the song with Coe, lol. His drummer, the one thats on the record, is actually black and has a white wife, thought the song was hilarious.

Yup. Bob did the blue cheese. Hot fucking chick too. I would have eaten the blue cheese out of her ass too. Sadly, I only have 2 pictures. I fucking forgot my memory card as it sat in my computer. Could only fit 2 pictures on the internal memory.

I'm more a "Hole in My Wall" type guy myself. That song is not only rocking rock, it's also sort of dirty, dirty. "Or an x-rated Disneyland"

David Allen Coe can't suck too much at anything. Prepare to have your mind blown. Anybody that gets asked to sing with Dime and the gang is OK by me. Even if it was a few years back.

I am completely aware of how utterly fucked up that is.
