I believe you are correct; (not quite sure myself). None of us have evident information that they are releasing each piece sporadically. From looking at the schedule, it tells me that they are aiming for 1 piece every 2 months. If that were the case starting from this july, it would be May 2012 at completion.

I can definitely explain and understand myself, that January they decided not to release because its Chinese new year. Its much bigger than anything we have in the States. If you were in China during this time of the year before, you would understand. ANd I am talking about the entire month.

So then, I guess they don't want to delay it even further, and crunched the release into one earlier (december) and one later (march).

I personally don't see an issue with that. Maybe the problem is that its once every 2 months? Are we comparing to say, FP's insecticons once per month and that's why its the issue? or that this is a "set" item and once every 2 months is not acceptable?

Tough comparison as Nexus was only $20 a piece or free depending on how you got yours and most people didn't just pay the $60 to join the club just for a Nexus Prime.

 

For me personally, I'm not comparing it to anything. As a Gestalt, I look for full functionality off the batt, and that means the ability to combine and whatnot. So, basically, I'm investing into it now, and won't know if it even works until March of next year... that's not cool.

With the Nexus Maxmus, at least, they were repaints of combiner pieces that were already made, so there wasn't really too much to worry about Q.C wise. With these, it's completely new molds, and there are so many variables to factor in from each that it's crazy.

Realistically, for example, not even counting situations like, "what if these don't finish getting made", but how about, "What if these all get made, and you find out that there are Q.C. or port support issues with one of the first figures released?"... it's a lot harder to get a replacement part a year out from a retailer.

anyway, yeah playing it safe would be the most logical thing to do with these. nothing wrong with it. stating it here hopefully helps to get more info from the company as well. hopefully, we get more info on the other devastator as well. hopefully i can get both.

After seeing the Maketoys version for the first time today.I love the look of it and its in scale with Bruticus or the classic devy.If something happens(i come into money)and i could get only 1.My money is on the Maketoys version.
