Universal is re-releasing the Back to the Future trilogy, and it looks to have some pretty sweet special features. The first one is set to be a 2-disc SE and the special features include the footage from BTTF the Ride that they took out of Universal a few years ago.

Cool, but by the time they release it I'll probably have a Blu-ray player by then, so if they come out with a Blu-ray version I'll get it. Though I may still get them on DVD just for the sake of having it from my DVD player.

I would love to see the ride footage though...

And we STILL only have one DeLorean TF, and he's a Micromaster from 1989. Where is the love for DeLoreans, Hasbro?!?

Hopefully they won't screw up the aspect ratio on the widescreen copies this time around.

Good point. I actually own two different BTTF boxsets. The original brazilian release (with some of the extras missing and probably the incorrect aspect ratio thing) and the U.S. re-release (corrected version). But I'll happily buy this new version if it comes out in Bluray.

I'm only getting this if it's bluray, since I already have that box set from years ago on DVD.

You paid too much. I got my box set at CD Warehouse for $10.

Seems like they're already planning to when the article says "All three films have been digitally restored and mastered in High Definition."

    ^ This.

And after all three movies have been reissued yet again, you can bet we'll see another box set in attempt to get fans to triple-dip. That's the release I'm waiting for.

I can't wait to get this! I love it when old movies like this get a decent DVD release!

Well, Re-Releasing Back To The Future on a Two-Disc DVD might be fare well for me and my wallet. (I never seem to have enough money to buy the BOXSET). I managed to get all 3 Indiana Jones Movies the same way.

I'm with the BluRay crowd. I'm content with my box set until then.
