That one is new to me. I'd say, at a guess, he's some sort of oversized KO, but the quality of it makes me think he's like that oversized Bruticus, in that he was made by copying the original 2-up of the mold.
I can see this becoming a sought after item by many, like that Bruticus, especially if the quality is good. One thing that jumps out at me, though, is that this doesn't see to be a new model - it looks old to me. Very old.

the gut who sells it says it it stood on counter of a toy store when he was young (back when g1 was sold in stores).
so it prob. 10-15 years old.

    Man, that's *so* awesome!
    I want one.

    So here's the question then.
I thought I was pretty well versed in the ole KO department (I collect the real unique and wierd ones) But I have *never* heard of a super-sized Grimlock.
    Has anyone else?

Hmmm, 10-15 years would nearly put it at around mid-G1 to early G2. That'd certainly make sense as to its age. It could probably have been made from some sort of master as opposed to reverse engineering. If you look at the details, there are a few there that are missing on the real one, which you'd be more likely to get from a master than a scaled up copy of the smaller toy.

It's an oddity, and it's certainly new to me.

Damn this thing really looks nice. And the quality appears to be on the level (or slightly less than) of the original.
Like those dinobot bootlegs in the '80s.
