    VOTING IS NOW CLOSED

So how do you go about getting one of your own? See your options here.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------

All AZ meetup members (a.k.a. Arizonacons),

Per the last meetup we had on Sunday, February 12, 2012; here are two of the digibashes I whipped up as possible AZ Cacticon exclusive figures. These by all means aren't the only options, just Arizona / desert themed suggestions from yours truly.

Below are my thoughts on how this would all go down:

    1. The base toy would be cheap
I don't think we can get away with doing anything bigger than a legend/legion figure this first time out.

    2. The base toy would be plentiful
No point in trying to track down X number of a rare figure.

    3. I had planned on offering MY services to paint the X figures
I hope I'm not biting off more than I can chew...

    4. As such, this first one would be a simple repaint only
Again, crazy detail multiplied times the lot size might drive me insane.

    5. We'd limit the number of pieces to around 20
Again, trying not to kill myself.

    6. Estimated pricing per figure would be $20 for labor
I think legions are around $6 right now, so if you supply the figure I'm thinking $20 for me to paint it is fair.

    7. We could print snazzy bio cards
Maybe someone else could come up with the bio and or artwork for these and we could get those laminated

So there is still lots up in the air with this whole venture like deciding on the figure, picking the final color scheme, final name, faction, as well as logistics. It might take a few weeks/months to get this thing fully off the ground, so again this topic is open for general discussion.

Any comments or criticisms are welcome!

This is a tough one, I lean towards Slipstream er' I mean Diamondback but my vote is for Copperhead.

There's just something about Copperhead that is pretty cool ... and no it's not because it's a Bumblebee mold

I'd be willing to write up a bio for any figure/character we choose. I can contribute that way.

I vote Copperhead. I picked up a Cyberverse Arcee after the meetup, but almost instantly I found a weak point. The front of the motorcycle/wings aren't held in place by more than the bare hint of nubs. Popped right off when transforming into bike mode. I'm gentle with my toys! :(  No big deal, really, but it doesn't stay in place unless you're careful.

Besides, Copperhead has those classic AZ colors: brown, light brown, and dark brown! :p

Ok...digging both! But now you got me wanting to digibash lol! I'm assuming that's a copper paint on copperhead right? Again...I like both, but the color on copperhead works better for the theme.

Oh yeah, I have some Photoshop experience, so I can potentially help with designing character bios.

I think since we are limiting these to around 20, we should probably cut it off when it gets to 20, I would think. Or we could stop it when the winner hits '11'.

Class was cancelled tonight, so I wrote up a bio for Copperhead, who is looking like he's the favorite as of right now. I'll get to Diamondback's bio tomorrow or Friday. If enough people like it we could potentially use it. I thought it was neat.

    Copperhead

    Faction: Autobot

    Function: Intelligence Specialist

    Motto: “I don’t give warnings.”

Similar to his fellow Autobot Intelligence Specialists, Copperhead has the utmost patience. Copperhead prefers to hold ground at a well scouted position, blend into the surrounding environment, and ambush unsuspecting Decepticons as they fail to notice the camouflaged Scout. Although he’s mastered the element of surprise, Copperhead’s preference is to slip away from any threat before it escalates to warn Optimus Prime and the Autobots. If provoked though, which happens often, he will strike immediately without hesitation in hopes of scaring off any Decepticon attack. Although his firepower is minimal, Copperhead is a valued soldier who finds himself in more battles than he wishes to aid in the Autobot cause.

    Strength 6
    Intelligence 7
    Speed 8
    Endurance 8
    Rank 5
    Courage 8
    Firepower 4
    Skill 6

If Copperhead get's made someone will have to get one for me, as I work on Sundays and can't attend the meetups.

I think we should just call it a win for Copperhead at this point. Any last second voters?

Ok, voting is now closed for this first AZ Cacticon exclusive. Diamondback (or a variant of her) will have to wait, as Copperhead will be on his way to production in the very near future!

    :bay

As such, let's start getting those reservations in so I can start doing this thing for real. The prices listed below are for the whole shebang of a custom painted legion class Copperhead with a custom printed Tech Spec card.

There are 2 options in front of all of you that way to get in on this:

    1) PayPal me $26, and I'll go out and get a legion Prime Bumblebee to customize for you. No extra work needed on your part.

    2) PayPal me $20 and promise to bring a legion Prime BB to the next meetup on 3/11.

Send me a PM with which option you want, and I'll reply back with my PayPal address. Sending in your payment will guarantee your spot. I'd rather not deal with IOU's or trades at this point. I don't need the money right away, but the sooner the better so I can get cracking for real. It'll also be much easier if I can do all of them in bulk, so the sooner we can get a majority together the better.

I do plan on documenting the whole process as I go which should be interesting. I'd also love to get these guys done by the April meetup if at all possible.

So let me know what you feel like doing when you get a chance.
