    http://www.geocities.com/kidk0rrupt/frames/bootlegs.htm

This site is a must check-out for anyone even remotely interested in G1 and pre-transformer bootlegs with themes of oddity, remolding, and recolouring or if you're trying to do some research (they have boxes for a lot too).

That's what I was doing this morning, finding pictures of the King Dam GunRobo/Browning to compare to the Japanese version Takara one. I found this site and browsed through this list and it was immensely entertaining and educating. Some of these I had no clue about. Then someone happened to post the sweet looking gold chrome Snap Trap in cool stuff where I otherwise would have no clue what it was, I knew exactly what it was ('Gold Changerobot Fiveman', check out its cool looking box).

    Thought others might enjoy.

Cool! I love archival sites for odd toys, especially bootlegs.

That's Jason Jupiter's site. He posts here. It's a good site. Looks like it's over its bandwidth now though.

i really need to take that site down, i created it when i was 18 or 19...... it's embarrassing now, lol. it's weird, people in asia and europe somehow keep finding it as well. how did you find the site? a websearch?

i have my own domain now and lots more knockoff stuff, if i get an internship for spring ill work on a rare-bootleg relaunch in my spare time.

i've gotten lots of cool stuff from people on tfw like might gaine =D

its 8x8design.com...nothing has been uploaded yet =(

it would take a good solid month just to shoot everything, i store stuff at my parents, brothers, and girlfriends place but it'll be up sometime in the future when i have more time.

i found these pictures of random rare/old fakes in my photobucket. the king poseidon is slightly oversized and has a FACE...a long time ago there was an auction for a nasty neon-colored king poseidon with dinosaurs for feet...it was based on this mold.

the octane has a hilarious "hrsbro (sic) 1991" copyright stamp and autobot symbols.

both of them are 15+ years old and extremely difficult to find complete.

Thanks for your service Jason Jupiter! You can never have too many references!

I had bookmarked a good one that had all the Pre-TF toys.... but I checked back and it was gone. Wish I'd snagged all the info... it covered everything.

Nice! Most of the stuff there I never knew existed...but I suppose that's the reason for the site :)

Let us know if you put up a new one, JJ. Very cool!

If you find it, post a link here please.

thanks a lot guys, sorry the site keeps crashing..geocities has really low bandwith.

before forums and the takara sf land book the ONLY place to get takara diaclone pictures was www.diaclone.net

taguchida-sama's site and collection are still supreme...here's a more direct link to the toys: http://www.diaclone.net/orid/list.html

fortress x and the great robot base were awesome transitional designs. and did you know there was a jet/chopter/robot triplechanger released alongside the diaclone blitzwing?

for general info on all other pre-tfs (takatoku, toyco, etc..) Jeroen Zuiderwijk has a pretty good site:
