Never came out in 12 inch ever. I remember seeing this painted at Toy Fair one year, but before it went into production they shrunk the line to the 6 inch size.

This is the only 12 inch statue I actually would have bought. And I want that beyond belief, but not for 4 grand.

Wow, standing and pointing (Soundwave), floating in a near-standing pose (Starscream), and simply standing (Bumblebee)...

    Ebay:
This statue has been listed on eBay for close to 2-3 years now and we've had a couple of threads about it; it's been up ever since Palisades folded up shop. Here's the last thread where we covered it.

Aside from Prime and Megs of course, I believe this and the 12" Arcee are the only ones that made it to this stage before the shrinkage.

I can't imagine it will ever sell at this price, but who knows?

This is the first time Ive seen it on ebay or in the forum, personally. It's not ground breaking news of any sort, but as I said in the post, it's worth a look for those that haven't seen it.

Remember, the front page isn't CNN, it's designed to show things to fans and casual viewers that are both news and cool things / spotlights from around the fandom. I think this falls under that category.

    Ebay:
Agreed - how many true 'one of a kind' pieces like this are out there, especially those that never made it to production. This is rarer than the rarest 'lucky draw', if not as desirable for some.

I only mentioned the amount of time it had been up because it's been on my eBay watch list for over a year, waiting for the price to come down. :lol

well, it is a beautful piece and i know this isnt ground breaking news, but since it has been occupying a spot on ebay for a while...well you get the point. I have seen other posts of news get crapped on because a handful of people have alreay seen it..and they post the reply of "this is not news". and tony, no disrespect for the staff, you/they do a great job in posting the latest and greatest.

on another note, if I was into statues, this would be in my collection. and ams-you got and invite.

I've never been into statues, but Soundwave does look pretty good.

I would also like to say that the guy selling those is a personal friend of mine. He is a former Palisades VP and a great guy.

The soundwave one is very rare. Like others have said, this statue was never released in the 12" scale and this is unpainted which makes it even more rare.

Anyway, if anyone *does* think about getting one of these, the guy is legit and had a hand in their creation so you aren't just buying from a dude that bought another companies assets or anything.

I would get it but not at the $4000 price tag. I would make him an offer but it would be way under 4G's.

WOW. That Soundwave is awesome but I don't know many people who have that kind of disposable cash. I love Transformers but I'd buy a nice commuter car or convert my existing car to natural gas before I spent that much on a statue. Come on Powerball!!!!!!!

Anyone looking for a white unpainted seeker prototype from Palisades?
