Okay, so we got a thread for Revoltech. And one for Gundam toys. And another for Gundam shows. And Macross. And one for Braves. And Kamen Rider and Sentai have their own also. And yeah, most of these also had Soul of Chogokins, but that got its own thread also.

But we don't have a thread for all the robots that aren't such lines or franchises. We need something for all the awesome robots that don't fit in the other threads.

All your Mazingers, Getters, Diebusters, Dancougas, Dragonar, Votoms, Xabungle, Escaflownes, Big O, etc etc and so on. Super robot, real robot, who cares. We're going to do the awesome robots that don't fit anywhere else but still deserve the love.

At least, that's what I hope we'll do. I'll take pics of some of my robots later and start up some sort of discussion tomorrow. Course, that's not stopping anyone from starting their own discussions either. I myself don't care about sticking just to figures either. Series, manga, ads, whatever is all good too I think.

Aura Battler Dunbine is a classic that never gets enough love. Too overshadowed by its big brother Gundam, sadly.

^ That thing looks more like Bahamut, is it on steroids? I prefer the classic look myself

The classic look is cool, sure, but the Super Imaginative Chogokin style is certainly unique. The toy itself is gorgeous, too - molded in translucent plastic and fully painted; put it up near a light source and it looks pretty amazing.

When I get home I might try to take some. I'd have to dust it off though. Things' been sitting as a book-end for a couple of years :lol

Interesting. Is that an older Yamaguchi sculpted Kaiyodo/Xebec figure? It looks like his style.

Just checked the packaging, yes, it's a Yamaguchi sculpt, released by Kaiyado. It's got a nice bulk to it, which is very fitting considering how heavy duty the design looks.

I've got that too. But my one came with a busted head antenna :( . Its a nice figure but the thing is too limited in its posing with the wierd cut joints that arent even on both sides.

That's kinda Yamaguchi's style though. While limited, usually the cuts are placed in really smart manners that result in super-dynamic poses, no matter what you do with the figure. I love the Trigun Gazelle the Peacemaker figure.
