    Use this thread to discuss:

Krylon "Camouflage" Ultra-Flat Black is a fusion type paint/primer. It goes on smooth, and leaves no orange-peel, streakage, or blemishes, From the can, it looks like airbrushed flat black fusion. It's durable and tough. Even tight joints and hinges show little wear. While formulated for all surfaces, it has "fusion paint technology" built into it.

Like all fusion paints, it is directed and recommended to wipe (i use brush) all surfaces with paint thinner. It also gives the alternative idea of cleaning with an ammonia based cleaner.

Would it work to brush on mineral spirits in place of paint thinner? I have tons of it and I can't find any paint thinner around the house.

$3.97 beats the hell out of the $10.50 I pay for Tamiya Primer!

    Thanks for the heads-up :thumb

I ordered a couple cans of this and their other camo colors last month off Amazon. Really happy with the ultra flat results. I'd like to be able to get it on a regular basis, or I suppose order it bulk. Best black paint I've used yet.

Might be kinda off topic but not really.... the head you used for Motormaster looks great. And the body just fits perfectly.

I'll be picking up some of this stuff at WM soon enough. Thanks for the heads up.

So, do you still have to worry about joint rub?

I'm wondering whether or not I should prime my Classics Overdrive when I get to the painting phase.

I picked up a can of this today and tested it out on a junker. It goes on very easy, and coverage is great. It'd be awesome if there was a white or light gray equivalent though

Krylon Fusion comes in a ton of colors, including a few whites. Here's what they sell, although good luck finding it all in one store.

Yeah, but this stuff wasn't like normal fusion. It covered much more easily and the coats were thinner--normal fusion always seems so thick. I see that they have a khaki in the Camo line...that might work. I'd have to order it though, there's no way I'm gonna find that at Walmart

I got to admit its a very impressive primer I didn't see it when I was at Wal-Mart, but I'm sticking with the Testor's. Force of habit I guess, but still very impressive.

Yep! I swear by this stuff. I used it to prime my Devs statue, and have used it on nearly every project since.

    Good stuff!

Ace hardware carries the other colors from the same line of this stuff, I picked up a brownish one. I went to grab some paint thinner and saw that it was 100% mineral spirits, does that mean I can use the mineral spirits I already have to wipe down a figure instead?
