So I was taking out the trash last night, and sitting next to the garbage cans is this old box with latches on the side and a handle on top. At first, I thought it was a portable record player. I open it up, and there is a REALLY old sewing machine in it! It was in really good condition, all that was wrong with it needed a new drive belt. I plugged it in, and it works fine. So I do a little research, and I find out it was made sometime in 1933! Not only that, but they sell on ebay and elsewhere from anywhere between $200 to $600! Really good shape, and it has all the attachments and junk too, but the case isn't original. I've already ordered a new belt, and as soon as I've cleaned and tested it, off to ebay it goes! It's a Singer model 221 if anybody cares. What's the best thing you've ever found in the trash?
