No links sorry, but Fox states that avp 2 is rated R! Directed by the guys that directed some TOOL videos....could be good............I hope! Although there is news that they are shooting in a school....

Well it's not like it can get any worse than the mess they made of the first one.

IIRC, the first one WAS heading for an R rating but was heavily edited resulting in a lower rating. (?)

R rating....does this mean there will be some kinky inter-breeding involved?

Yeah the first one sucked and its a good story line and concept but they really made that movie suck. Hopefully they will redeem themselves with this one and show more Pred. action and not kill them all off in the first 5 minutes.

Please don't say that like you know it as fact! They could just as easily turn around and give to Uwe Boll or that guy who made Man-Thing. :cry  Ugh, it can get worse, trust me. I'm really hoping new blood can revitalize this concept instead of spitting on its name.

Adam Jones directs all the Tool videos...and hes also their guitarist. Yeah he did work on Jurassic Park, Nightmare on Elm Street, Terminator 2 oh and Predator 2. So he knows what he's doing if he is in fact doing it. Check out his myspace, http://www.myspace.com/adamjonestv

He's a great music video director, but the only movie work he has done was as an effects guy. However, he is NOT directing AvP2. Greg and Colin Strause are directing. Fact checking FTW!

Even if that duder isn't directing, at least it isn't Paul W. S. again. That gives it a much better shot at not being totally lame, so hooray.

If it follows the leaked story-line that popped up a year or so ago I don't want to see it.

Ick. The first one left a bad taste in my mouth- it would be really hard for them to convince me it wouldn't be a complete waste of my time to see a second one. I suppose not associating it with the first movie's go-nowhere storyline would be a good start.

All I have to say is, there better be a LOT MORE Aliens and Predators actually FIGHTING each other in this one. Hell, I'd even take out all the humans completely if I were directing/writing it. Or at least have the two races battle it out for hunting rights on the humans or something.

But the bottom line: MORE SCENES WITH PREDATORS AND ALIENS FIGHTING EACH OTHER!

Are you sure that was the film? Or a FACEHUGGER!?!?!?!?

Nah, thought the first film was AWFUL, made more so my the fact that they had a perfectly decent story in the first Dark Horse AvP, and so many routes to go in the Aliens (2nd film) world, Colonial Marines and all that, and they set it in the arctic. In a pyrimid.

I don't particularly hold many hopes for this.

Appearantly, AvP2 will take please in a remote present-day village (Eastern Europe or in the US desert, I think) where aliens terrorize the town and the Predators killing both humans and the aliens. Oh, and there will be a fight between an alien and a Predator in a Walmart.

Given the state of the industry and these franchises, I feel safe in saying that almost any idiot behind the lens can make this movie LOOK great. I'll even admit that PA had some sweet shots in his fuck up.

What's going to matter is not the guy behind the camera, but the words printed on the page.
