Forget Buzzsaw I want to see a Ground hogs day story arc in one of these 2 new TF Titles where Ultra Magnus keeps on getting killed by Sixshot over and over.

I honestly didn't dig this issue much. Not sure why, but it just felt like the Soundwave chase took up too much of the issue. Only interesting thing that happened was the whole
    Seeker encounter
    at the end.

I really enjoyed that issue. I loved seeing Soundwave in the spotlight again.
The fight between Orion and Soundwave was epic. I thought it was so tight seeing Orion punch through Soundwave's chest! Ha!

Yeah, it felt like a lot of filler. The "'X' eject, operation 'Y'" thing got old pretty quick. I know that's Soundwave's thing and all, but an entire comic of almost nothing but that is kind of weak. I dig the art though. What started in Chaos seems to be getting better with each issue. Still looking forward to the rest of the series.

entire comic? it's 8 pages. Like one long scene, in this case, one long chase scene.

    and it was awesome.

Operation : pwnage - Soundwave always has a backup plan (and another one after that), these 8 pages showcased the character so well.

another very enjoyable issue i thought! this one was all action where the others have been talky, but i'm down with both. I can see it all really coming together, story wise as well as continuity wise: I never read the movie comics, but maybe this Mr Barber is as good as the fans of those books have been saying he is!

Pretty sweet issue. My only gripe is that Prowl looks like a Sweep in vehicle mode. Also, Ironhide just looks like a normal minivan haha.

    NOW THAT THERE IS SOUNDWAVE!

NOT THAT SILENT IMPOSTOR FROM SHREK-FORMERS OR THAT DR. CLAW SOUNDING CONTRAPTION THAT GOT OWNED IN THAT GOD AWFUL MOVIE...

    THIS IS THE REAL SOUNDWAVE.

TO THE PEOPLE ACTUALLY COMPLAINING ABOUT A BOT SO GREAT THEY MADE HIS FACE THE DCEPTICON SYMBOL, I RECOMMEND THE LATTER OUTLETS.

THIS BOOK HERE IS G1 IMPROVED x10

    FIRRIB! :D

I wasn't too impressed with this issue. I love Soundwave and his cassettes, but the fight got a bit repetitive. And why wouldn't he release them all at once to overwhelm the Autobots? It's interesting that Frenzy was worried about Ravage, but Soundwave didn't seem at all concerned when Frenzy got a giant laser through the chest.

And Orion still has his jerkwad personality. I'm really not liking his character in this story.

    ???

Soundwave's Strategies where perfect up until he reach the border so why would he sic the whole gang on "Bubblebee? and Hound" and how was it repetitive?

Ejecting his minions is pretty much what Soundwave does.

That like saying "Megatron is always using his fusion cannon!" Or "Devastator is always merging on somebody"

I mean where you waiting for him to form a blazing sword or something....?

Is there a Soundwave fight in the IDW comics where he doesn't get his ass kicked? He's been locked into alt mode, shot through his head, been bitch slapped by Ironhide and now been given a five-digit kiss by Orion.

I thought the whole point of Soundwave was that he's hard as nails, quiet and dangerously intelligent, not everyone's bitch.

Granted he gave them a chase this time but he's not got much cred in the IDW comics has he?

    No, it's like saying:

Pg1: Megatron uses his fusion cannon.
Pg2: Megatron uses his fusion cannon again.
Pg3: Megatron uses his fusion cannon again.
Pg4: Megatron uses his fusion cannon again.
Pg5: Megatron uses his fusion cannon again.
    etc

    or

    Pg1: Devastator combines.
    Pg2: Devastator combines again.
    Pg3: Devastator combines again.
    Pg4: Devastator combines again.
    Pg5: Devastator combines again.
    etc

When you only have 8 pages to read, it would be nice if the same thing didn't happen over and over again. I like the cassettes, and in theory it's nice to see each of them do their thing, but that would be more appropriate for a full length comic. Not a very short one where Soundwave repeatedly pushing the eject button takes up 90% of the content.

Well, the short answer to this is: SOUNDWAVE SUPERIOR, CONSTRUCTICONS INFERIOR!

Haha, but I have to agree, it was a lot of Soundwave ejecting bots. I personally didn't mind too much as he hasn't had a lot of air time recently (no pun in-- well, I did intend it), but this featured more of his cassettes than it did Soundwave. Also, didn't he talk somewhat "normally" in the earlier comics? Again, I don't mind going back to G1 era dialogue, but I wonder if this will be touched upon.

So for me, fun read, but I understand and respect the discontent. He's had his moment in the sun, so I don't think we'll be hearing (hehe) too much from Soundwave again in this series.
