It would be nice if the Autobots create their own army just like the Decepticons have the Vehicons. Then the Autobots would be really focusing on Team Megatron instead of fighting the Vehicons, cause really the Autobots are wasting their energy and strength on those Decepticon armies and they rarely fight the stronger characters. It's my opinion a lot of people have their own. I hope you guy where thinking about this as well.

To me, it feels like the Autobots are better than the Decepticons since in the show, they don't have an army of generics. The Eradicons entire purpose is to show "casualties" in a war. Their toy bios even portray them as only built and wanting to serve Megatron; even if they're slaughtered in hordes every week. Megatron, Starscream and Airachnid tossed them around like shit at every turn. Because that's their purpose - to show just how shitty Megatron is towards his troops.

While of course they don't have the resources to maintain an army, the Autobots are an actual team and family, who care for each other. Megatron treats his troops and generics like shit. I interpret it as another thing the Autobots have going for them; while they will kill hostiles and cannon fodder, they wouldn't be willing to produce sentient beings like Eradicons for the sole purpose of being mowed down like the Decepticons are willing to.

While it would be cool, for a season finale or something, to have a huge battle of generics vs generics raging, like in many action films these days (The Dark Knight Rises, the final Harry Potter film, the Narnia films, the Lord of the Rings, etc).

I support this. Having the good guys be at a constant disadvantage is good to create a sense of urgency. However Transformers Prime is a Prime example (excuse the pun) of how not to do that. The good guys having nothing means they have nowhere to fall.

This creates the exact opposite effect intended. It assures us that the good guys will almost always win because if they loose anything or anyone, they won't stand a chance. And with the certainty the good guys will always win, the sense of threat in the series becomes nonexistent.

It also makes the bad guys feel useless which is extra bad in Transformers where the bad guys have many fans. You usually wonder why such small amounts of Decepticons are used when there are so many of them. And in the very few instances when large amounts of Decepticons are used, they get slaughtered by a couple of Autobots because that's all there is (although a little creativeness from the writers in how they are defeated would help a lot.

Due to all that, I would strongly support a large amount of Autobots arriving on Earth. As for the energon crisis, more Autobots would be it's own solution. The Decepticons are able to feed an army because they have the numbers and resources to mine large amounts of energon. More Autobots would mean they have more people to help with mining and even if they don't come with mining machines, I'm sure those could be built out of human tech.

Will the Autobots lose their "soldiers" with no regret, as the Decepticons sometimes do?

People on both sides will always die in war. That is a fact which I hope this show includes if it ever gives the Autobots an army. However the Autobots should and most likely would morn their dead.

Vehicons do have their own will, they are not just brainless robots.
StarScream needed them to respect him, when Megatron was in coma. StarScream followed their will, when the Vehicons decided not to switch off the equipment, and to call a Doctor.
Airachnid needed to inform them, that she wanted to take Megatron's place.
And they have attacked O-Prime with their own will, when its were "Orion Pax" series.

If you've played war for cybertron (which may or may directly tie into the show) you'll see MANY autobot allied generics. So they DO exist. They don't really appear in Prime so you really care about the autobots. They don't have an army lead by one or two main characters, they have a small squad.

Also, vehicons in Prime aren't drones. They can think and have free will. They're more like stortroopers in Star Wars.

It wouldnt be much of a show if the Autobots had an army equal to the Decepticons. I mean it is more dramatic to have the heroes vastly outnumbered by the enemy so that their victory is all the more heroic.

I've always thought of the vehicons like the 'Klockateers' from Metalocalypse, sentient beings who had names and lives of their own but are stripped of said names and lives and genericized to serve their leaders/cause

While the Decepticons are comfortable with doing this with no remorse, the Autobots, specifically Optimus, would NEVER allow this.

Arcee and Bumblebee finds Starscream's base, Miko sneaks behind. She see's this red button and pushes it, Bumblebee gets hit with a ray. Arcee looks at Miko, then the two are surrounded by one hundred Bumblebee clones.

Then the Autobots have an army to battle the Vehicons and the troop builders would be forced to buy the legion of Bumblebees on the pegs. Thus clearing room for new figures, everybody wins.

Yes, they're sentient. Hence why Starscream agreed to bring in Knock Out for Megatron. How would he look if his first act as leader was to kill the old, popular leader? He wanted a following; he's not going to get it if he let Megatron die like he wanted to.

Breakdown and Dreadwing seem to like the Eradicons well enough. Breakdown chatted with them about his personal life, was a good boss to them. Dreadwing seems to respect every soldier under Megatron's command regardless, and paused, seemingly affected by the pile of dead Eradicons in Triangulation. Soundwave doesn't care about anyone but Laserbeak and Megatron; everyone else treats them like shit.

I agree, Beast Machines did a much better job at the being outnumbered disadvantage, you could really feel the hardship that the Maximals faced in every episode from beginning to end. People complain about the plot armor in Naruto and Bleach being bad, Prime is much worse.
