If I remove the Autobot symbol off of RiD Side Burn's roof will the blue paint come off, and also what would I use to remove it?

You can remove tampographed symbols on plastic with rubbing alcohol
I haven't tried that on painted parts. Good thing to ask first
But maybe search the radicons section for a faster answer.

depends on if the blue on the rood is molded or painted, if painted, then yes, the alcohol will remove the blue.

I just checked my RID Sideburn and the roof is completely painted in blue. It looks like it was cast in that amber color and then painted to match the rest of the figure originally. If you use rubbing alcohol, chances are it will also remove that blue paint. I wouldn't attempt it.

Not sure what you could use to remove just the Autobot symbol without damaging the paint underneath. If it were casted in blue, you could have easily removed the symbol with rubbing alcohol (as mentioned above).

Like hXcpunk23 said, the chances of removing just the symbol are slim to none.

Thanks everyone I guess I'll leave it the way it is, unless anyone else has any other suggestions.

It can be done if you use very little alcohol. Just rub gently. However, I would not recommend it on this figure. Clear plastic does not like the rubbing alcohol and would probably become brittle from just the fumes.

You could possibly remove it with a lot of very gentle sanding, with a little water and a very fine grit paper. You'd want to really take your time with it to avoid taking off the paint, though. Even then, you might still need to touch the paint up a bit, but if you were careful enough, you'd only remove a little of the top metallic coat, and a light coat of Vallejo Metallic Medium should be able to help you restore the sparkle.

For this figure, you could always get the Car Robots release as well, since it did not have said faction symbol on the roof.
