Megatron could have become an Autobot in "Microbots", if Perceptor, one of the Autos shrunk inside Megs, turned the negative brain impulses into positive ones.

Come on Percep's smart; he could have done it.

And then Megatron's chest would bear a red symbol.

Just because a guy's a mechanical genius doesn't mean that he's a brain surgeon genius. Besides that, it was pretty clear none of the bots on that mission had the tools for such a procedure nor did they likely have the time doing so would've required.

Also, I believe this proposed cyber-lobotomy counts as a kind've subjugation. Forcibly altering Megatron's mental state probably wouldn't sit well with Optimus Prime. Freedom being the right of all sentient beings and all that.

:lol  No more freedom for Perceptor, Megatron or Brawn (from what I remember) Because they're all stuck with Bumblebee :p

Well, Megs could have been destroyed from the inside out if Bumble, Brawn, and Percep stay inside and grew to their natural size.

Possibly. I imagine though, said destruction through rapid resizing also would've set off the Heart of Cybertron and destroyed the earth, which they very much wanted not to happen -- the Autobots, anyway.

Well we do sort of have a "Autobot" Megatron in the Shattered Glass Universe, now Galvatron.

I always wondered what would happen if they returned to normal size while still inside. :)

They first would have been squashed and then later their remains would continue to grow and maybe burst out of Megatron. Megatron would be severly injured or maybe dead. So there would be 4 dead Transformers.

Not necessarily. Remember what Megs said on board their ship in MtMtE part 3?

"You dispose of me, someone else will be ready to dispose of you."

Who do you think would take on Starscream?

Judging by events in the movie ... anyone with a pulse.

You're making far too many assumptions for this to be a plausible outcome. Beyond assuming Perceptor CAN and has the tools to do so, you're assuming the 'negative brain impulses' are 'evil' instead of being the negative part of an electric current, with 'positive brain impulses' being the other part of the electric current.

And that's not getting into brainwashing debates.

There's also the fact that...oh, Murasame does say it well:

This. Percy+Co would be inside that space that would be shrinking incredibly fast. Because they're inside, they get squished together first, then if there's enough mass left over still growing, then Megatron blows up.

Just because you're inside, doesn't mean your safe.

Even a few people without a pulse, and those losing their pulse.

How about the dominator discs from "The Core"? Prime had no problem with those.

Only controlled Devastator, and not the individuals. At least, that was how it was supposed to work. It's very arguable if the combined mode robot is an individual 'person'.

Also: the cartoon was written by a lot of freelancers who wanted a paycheck that was easy, and didn't much talk to one another or care about continuity. One episode has about as much bearing on another as one issue in a comic book will have on another.
