Hey everyone - I finished this pic last night - I worked on it on and off over a few days, I'm sorta ok with how it turned out - i may go back and redo some bits of it tho.

    But I can't be bothered :D

    Hope u dig.

    Hey great stuff Kurisama!

Taking a look at your Deviant Art page too, wow, you're really doing some good 3d! Excellent proportions and details on all your models, and of course the light/shading/texture combination that you have on this new one is really neat! Some kind of cell/toon half 2d painting look, the outlines really stand out too, it's very fun to look at.

Hope you stick around the boards and continue to post your art... if you're someone other then Kurisama reading this thread check out his Deviant page, lots of good stuff (I personally really like "The Cavalry"... and the back picture of that ship, "Adios..." can't put my finger on it but something seems very familiar about those four thrusters :) )

All very good artwork, great job!

Very well done. :)  I'm liking the style and the use of red lines.

If I were to crit anything though, it'd be Springer's neck. He looks a bit hunchbacked from this angle for some reason. Interesting technique though, you do them in 3D and then add/edit the linecoloures and images in photoshop/painter/whatever?

That is astounding. To say "well done" would be to fall short...truly a work of art!

I wish my stuff looked as artistic as that. My stuff always seems so cold and bland compared to brilliant work like this.

Thanks a lot Numlock - I'm glad u dig. I will try and stick around! Oh, yeah - those other pics are from my personal project, more of that to come soon too. And something familiar? Here's a hint: I love Macross.

Thats cool, he does look a little hunched - i think it's the parts on his back and angle of his body. And in answer to ur last question - yes.

Ha! I'm humbled by ur comment :D

    Thanks!

Take a look at some Frank Frazetta art work - that always gets my art juices flowing!

I don't say this about most art, but your work just blows me away. What program do you use for the 3D models? And if you don't mind me asking, who's the white 'bot in the foreground corner?

Thank you very much :D  I use Maya. The white bot in the foreground is my own fan-made character, so far named Celicabot, I ran a poll on my DA acc on what to name him, so far Streamline and Slideout are leading the poll :)

So far he's in Cybertronian mode here and in these renders:

Cybertronian Celicabot by *kurisama on deviantART

Cybertronian Celicabot AltMode by *kurisama on deviantART

But my inital idea ( CelicaBot by *kurisama on deviantART ) was to have a 'bot based off my own '74 Celica here: My Faithful Steed by *kurisama on deviantART

Sure - when I get some free time, I'll post something up.
