We know Lugnut is absolutely loyal to the GLORIOUS Decepticon race.

Do we know of any fanatics on the Autobot side? Preferably those also packing crazy amounts of heat and strength?

Omega Supreme? He seems very pro-Autobot, and he kicks arse. Though doesn'y exactly butt-kiss Optimus.
EDIT: Cliffjumper maybe? I know he's a minibot, but he has a huge collection of guns, and very faithful...

Ironhide. Just try to say anything bad about Prime or the Autobot cause in his presence.

I always thought Bulkhead was his counterpart. He doesn't kiss Optimus' ass but he's the big brute of the team.

I'm thinking Bulkhead and Ironhide, except they're not as fanatical to Optimus Prime as Lugnut is to Megatron.

G1 Bumblebee. Always trying to prove himself to the other Autobots that he's good enough to wear the badge. His tech specs had him idolise Prime and Prowl.

I'd go along with this, except only Bulky, Ironhide is a warrior, pure and simple. Don't think any Autobot would be as "fanatical" about anything or anybot the way the Decepticons are. It's just not in their programming.

I'm tempted to say Roadbuster or Ironhide. Omega Supreme is too big and doesn't play a big enough part in the continuity.

Makes sense, though, yeah, I agree it's probably just a loyal warrior, but not a fanatic.

Ooooh, really good! Didn't consider him.

From what little we've seen, actually that's also a really good one.

Bah! No mere Autobot can match the glory that is Lugnut.

It is heresy to even attempt to do so.

If not G1 Ironhide (who's more Cyclonus than Lugnut), I'd say Energon Ironhide.
Neither has the firepower of Lugnut, but Energon Ironhide has the unneccessary bulk.

G1 Bumblebee is another close match (in terms of 'hero worship'). Usually the ones that loyal to Prime are smaller, or have average or smaller levels of firepower. To be on Lugnut's level, you'd need someone like G1 Snarl (large, heavily armored, with a rifle, missile launcher and large sword), without the authority resentment and maverick-y behavior.

It's not really the kind of idolatry or fanaticism of Lugnut, but I'm reminded of the occasional plot-induced McCarthy-ish behavior of guys like Cliffjumper in "Traitor" or Brawn in "Microbots". They're dedicated enough to act like a single-minded ass and relentlessly persecute a teammate on the belief that they're not tough or loyal enough - for one episode. :)
