When the first movie came and gave us a big black offroad pickup, my first thought was "Trailbreaker!" Probably something to do with him being my first TF that wasn't a minibot, when I was a kid. I never did get around to modding movie Ironhide, but when I saw the first pictures of his "recon" remold, I knew I'd be making an upgunned version of good ol' Trailbreaker. Once I had recon Ironhide in hand, I took a break from modifying GI Joes. Here's the results:







The picture of his head was taken, before I was finished. I had to make new mirrors, because paint won't stick to the originals.

 

I looked at the pictures before reading it was Trailbreaker and thought it looks like a ROTF Nemesis Big Convoy (the Target exclusive mammoth)

 

You did a great job turning him into Trailbreaker.

Another Tip: When turning your Ironhide into Trailbreaker, just turn around the head and do some painting.

That only works with the old head sculpt. Recon Ironhide's head is completely different, and doesn't have the face on the back of it.
