This is my quick repaint and modification of a G1 KO Devastator. I originally purchased this to repaint into the yellow G2 Devastator but after getting the G2 colored version at a Big Lots I ended up having two green/purple G1 Devastators on hand. I ended up thinking of a way to repaint it and thought about making an Autobot version of Devastator using the names and colors of Autobots who closely matched up with their Decepticon counterparts.

I didn't want to spend too much time painting so I just whipped out my acrylic colors and using the More than Meets the Eye Guidebook from Dreamwave I repainted the Decepticons into their new Autobot "Build-o-Bots" combiner team that forms "Architron". I replaced the Devastator head with a head from another KO combiner (Don't know it's name) and added a few small parts here and there from the KO parts as well. I'm trying to attach treads to the feet that you can see from the side shots. This took just a few days to complete and once the paint dried I sprayed a bit of a dull-cote sealer.

I like it. I always thought Hasbro should have done something like that. Good job.

BaronV, this isn't half bad at all, an autobot version of Devastator I've seen some from others. But its always awesome to see another. Nice job.

The colors work surprisingly well. I like it. (Have you considered building a box for Wideload's bed? That's probalby the only thing I'd really change here, except maybe making Scoop's crane arm all be one color.)

people i have been giving this a bit of thought lately.
would it be possible to kitbash 2 energon duststorms into rid hightower and g1 quickmix, 3 energon sledges into rid wedge, g1 scoop and g1 landfill, and energon steamhammer into rid grimlock?

basicly people it would be an attempt to recreate those 6 autobots as a 6 member classics autobot build team combiner team with it being a take on this guys idea

You know "Dig in" fits, but if I did something like that I would of use "Hit the dirt!" but I know that would sound to militaristic in a way. But whatever works for you I'm cool with that.
