    For the Maximals in Beast Wars, its Rhinox, and in Beast Machines, its Cheetor. For the Predacons in Beast Wars... Scorponok? And then later, Tarantulus? It's a bit harder to pin down, as Megatron doesn't like any of his troops to get the feeling they can replace him.

    Scorponok was the second in command, and then deffinately Inferno. Megatron wouldn't trust Tarantulas to check his mail. They hated eachother.

    Under Optimus Prime, generally yeah. Jazz and Ironhide also seemed like the second-in-command at times, depending on the episode.

    For Season three of G1, it's pretty much Ultra Magnus.
