Actually, I think the movie toys make the more recent lines pale in comparison. So yeah to "bayformers".
When it starts getting used in a positive conotation then I'd agree, but right now it's a snooty put-down.
I love the huge individual box art, would make it very easy to find the one I was looking for... if I actually wanted any of these. =\
These will be a completely character driven purchase for me. Some look pretty decent, but the movie will determine if I buy any.
Oh come on guys you knew this was happening. Many of the toys don't look anymore like their counterparts than the G1 ones did. Prime looks pretty cool, if they gave him his cool back I'll be picking him up for sure. Megatron is terrible. What's with the horrid plastic colours? Hasbro, why do you keep doing this....
People are often annoyingly "positive" in threads where it doesn't belong, and you and others have given out to me for pointing this out. Just because something is a "positive" view doesn't make it any more or less acceptable. If people can act like Bayformers are the greatest, most awe inspiring thing and pretty much worship ILM as they have done in several trends, then why can't you just allow someone to say they're ugly? This really bothers me. You can't call one positive and one negative, they're both taste. I have no doubt you'll have some stupid come back for this; but you don't realise how much of a hypocritical state you're in at the moment. Personally, I don't find Bayformers ugly. I find situations like this "ugly". Just let him have his opinion, however he verses it, or else you have to leave me or others alone when we rag on someone for being mind numbingly supportive.
You speak the truth sir. I have read the same things in other threads and I agree with you. Let the guy have his own opinion no matter how he "phrases" it. Otherwise, like you said, the happy happy people are just being hypocritical. On topic....No thanks. I am only interested in things that Transform, and for the most part the transforming versions look just as good or better. I am also only interested in the figures of the actual characters from the movie.
If I was in the buying frenzy I usually am in, I'd probably complete the entire line of these just because they look pretty awesome in the package and they'd make a great display sealed. Not sure there's much in the way of play value if they don't transform, so I'd probably never be tempted to open them.
People seeing the best in an unseen movie and being optimistic about it is now on the same level as prejudical dismissal of said untested film? Finding that blind prejudice distasteful while hoping for the best is "hypocritical"? This whole "while people say the film looks promising I have a right to insult everything I see about it in the most off-hand and dismissive way possible" is desperate indeed. Because being nice about something is so old hat these day. What a sad, sad world we live in....
Now if they just give us some G1, BW, Cybertron, etc. figures like this... I've been saying for ling time I would love to see Marvel Legends type of action figures of Transformers... Just imagine the build a figure you could do
They have: http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/menu.aspx?menu=898 I just wish the care that was put into the Revoltech figures was put into these. Then again, they'd probably not sell very many if it was a 15-20 dollar figure (though I'd buy every last one).
