So I walked into my useual Target store and they had Movie toys prices dropped by nearly half or more of there useual prices. On a note, Animated and Universe toy prices were the same.
So I asked the Manager of the Target Store and he told me they were 'getting rid' of TF1 toys was so that they could make room for stock from the ROTF line. He said the Target Stores were trying to close the TF1 line in a month, if not longer. He then added that the ROTF shipment would come in early May. Which is the month we are getting the ROTF toyline.

    God it's about time.

I'm sick of the dregs of the TF1 movie clogging shelves here.

I'm fairly certain the point was to keep Movie product on shelves UNTIL right before the second movie to keep it fresh in the back of consumer's minds.

Seeing as how Movie product clogging pegs doesn't mean stores won't order more Animated/Universe when those pegs are empty, I don't see the problem. New stuff still comes in.

Targets (in the United States anyways) are in the middle of mod resets. Old stuff will be clearanced out to make room for new stuff. Common practice.

The 2 Target stores I went to tonight where doing MASSIVE clearance sales. At least 4-5 isles of stuff marked down heavily. Snagged a 25th Anni Prime.

Not here. My local Target stores have barely restocked anything animated in... well, months. But, everyone's been putting movie stuff out a lot in the last two months, just nothing new animated-wise.

I understand this isn't the same in the southern states, though, or not generally, anyway.

Yeah, like Misato said. Over here in Oz, it seems while theres some old movie trash on shelves its 'good enough' for some stores.

Sydney Targets are probably exempt :p , because they've not had serious TF stock since the first wave of Animated/when they sold MP-4 Convoy

I can barely find a single Transformer in the Brisbane Targets I venture into.

Hopefully this results in a better selection, because nearly every time I've gone on a TF hunt there's only a few things I can buy (this isn't limited to Target mind you). Combined with Australias downright shitty TF prices, Tf hunting isn't as fun as I'd like it to be.
