Transformers Animated may have started screening in America a few months ago, it will not be on our screens until May 31st and June 1st at 9.30am on Cartoon Network. It should be on every weekend after that, with an as yet unconfirmed air date on free-to-air Channel 10.
A DVD of the first 6 episodes will be released in September, while the first episode will be released on a bonus DVD packaged with an Animated 2-pack set.
The toys themselves will see a June 1st release date in Australia, and will go to at least mid 2009.

(Note that release dates are subject to change at any time)

Supreme sized 'Rollout Command Optimus Prime'. Figure is pushed along a smooth surface, causing the top half to rotate and slowly reveal arms and head. The legs are then transformed manually. Nov/Dec release.
(We took a video recording of this gimmick. It will be posted here sometime in the next day)

Leader size Bulkhead (with Headmaster) and Megatron (Earth Mode). Aug release. Hasbro's two toy awards are on either side.

Battle Begins 2-pack, with DVD. June release.
Battle Damaged (Earth Mode) Optimus Vs (Cybertron Mode) Megatron.

Voyager Size Bulkhead, (Cybertron Mode) Megatron, Starscream. June release.

Deluxe Size Lockdown, (Cybertron Mode) Optimus Prime, Autobot Ratchet, Autobot Prowl, Bumblebee. June release.

On the back of Leader sized Bulkhead's box - Deluxe sized Snarl, Autobot Jazz, Soundwave, Oil Slick.

Animated Activators Bulkhead, Bumblebee, Starscream. Aug release. Each figure transforms to vehicle mode by locking in parts and limbs, but auto-transform to robot mode with the press of a button.

Bumper Battlers Optimus Prime, Autobot Ratchet, Bumblebee. Jul release. Toys are similar to Cyber Slammers, but have electronic features.
Power Bots Cyberspeed Bumblebee. Sep release. A Cyber Stomper is shown because that's what a Power Bot appears to be.

Quickshift Command Game. Aug release. A very simplistic gamepad game, with the main gimick being that pulling out the side panels transforms Optimus inside the game, and closing in the panels transforms him back to truck mode.

I still have about 7 video clips to get uploaded onto the net, which show the gimmicks of the Activators, Rollout Prime and the gamepad.
I'm too tired and sick at the moment to do anything with them right now, so expect them in a days time, as links posted here.

I guess that list in "Also Available" mean the leaders are wave three?

    Man, those Leaders are PIMP.

I kinda think RO&C Prime is cool, but just for the axe.:p  No way I'm buyin'.

Starscream continues to be awesome. All the deluxes look great.

Man, this is torture waiting for these.

You realize that, based on those pics, Lockdown is about the same height as Megatron? Megatron's much bulkier but Lockdown's not going to be much, if any, shorter.

Cool. Leader Megs will definetly be mine. It's nice to see him in his box. Bulkhead on the other hand, I'll probably get the Voyager version instead of the Leader. That way Voyager Lugnut will have someone I can pose in a battle stance with, and have them pretty much show accurate when compared to each other. Hopefully we get a look at some characters that we haven't seen in toy form yet (Blitzwing would be really awesome).

Thanks, Griffin for pulling all that together for us; we appreciate the sneak peek.

Sure wish I could say my feelings have changed as more Animated stuff has been revealed, as I really want to get on board. Unfortunately, with each new series of pictures, I'm more convinced I will be skipping the entire line. Yay for shaking off the shackles of completionism. :lol

However, it's good to see so many folks stoked about the line... that can only be a good thing!

Am I late on something or does this imply that Deluxe Ratchet will come out in the first wave?

No, he's still wave 2 as far as we know. They have more than just wave 1 in the display. Actually, now that I think about it, the Animated display is the only one that doesn't have any new products displayed in it. Both the Universe and Marvel TF displays have had new figures, or stand-ins for said figures. The closest thing to a new product displayed here is the Leader Megs in-packaging. Hasbro must be saving pretty much anything newer in Animated for Botcon (along, hopefully, with more new stuff for Universe and Marvel).

I'm dying for animated figures. They look so great, especially the leader class stuff.

Neat, too bad they didn't have much 'new' for Animated.

The thing from this that interests me most is the pictures of the deluxes on the bottom of the leader box.

That said though, I'm not too enthused to see the repaints hitting as early as wave 3 (new news to me that Oil Slick there is a Lockdown repaint, surprised I'm the first to mention that).

Oil Slick is a new mold, not a repaint, and we actually haven't seen any repaints as of yet. The Voyager Skywarp and Thundercracker (TC hasn't been officially anounced, but has been rumored) could potentially be repaints, but at the very least will probably have new heads.

I'm definitely getting Leader Megs. Looks great. I'll be skipping everything else, but I do admit that is VERY cool leader Bulkhead comes with the Headmaster. Very nice touch.
