I have some Polk R50s as my right and left speakers. I have some Acoustic Research speakers for my rear and side satellite speakers, but I need some help selecting a proper center channel. How important is it to get a matching Polk center channel? I know it is usually recommended to get the front and center speakers matching, but I've heard so many good things about the JBL Northridge EC35 speaker. The Polk CSi3 seems to be a good match for my R50s.

Here are the options I am looking at:

    Polk CSi3 http://shop4.outpost.com/product/3810337?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG

    JBL EC35

    Thanks for the help!

All my speakers are JBL HLS series and I couldn't be happier with the performance. I chose JBL because that is what the theater I worked at used. I decided if JBL was good enough for a theater it was good enough for me.

Given that I have no experience with unmatched speakers.

Yeah I like the JBL EC 35 but I figure the Polk CSi3 may sound better with the front speakers I have.
