Watching TF:TM on the Hub right now. During the opening credits, the Victor Carroli narration from the non-US release played with the standard (non-scrolling) opening! Is this to now be considered a new variant of the film? How should this be viewed in comparison to the other versions of the film already in existence. (waits to see if spike says S***)
Ugh. As much as I love Victor Caroli's narrating, I'm not a fan of the UK version narrating by him in the opening and closing. It just doesn't sound right. Had it been in there originally, I probably would've been fine with it. However, it's not what I'm used to.
Is the print the same as the 2006 Sony print of the '86 film? And that sounds like an odd audio swap, I guess the footage print for the Star Wars-esque paragraphs from the UK version couldn't be found or wasn't available.
I really think it was the 2006 Sony print. It looked exactly like when I watch that dvd. The only differences was the vocal narration at the beginning and ending, and the removal of Spike's s word. But visually it was exactly the same.
