Does anyone ever pay attention to certain writers of the episodes? I do, because I could usually know what quality of writing would be in an episode.
I agree. Honorable mentions go to Andrew Robinson (Thrill of Hunt) and Rich Fogel (Lost and Found, Elite Guard) Even though, he brought this awesome cast and crew together, Mr. Isenberg's episodes have been not so great (Nanosec) with the exception of Along Came A Spider.
I just hope whoever did Nature Calls does Bumblebee's Boot Camp episode, because that one got LOTS of potential for funny scenes.
In defence of Marty Isenberg, Wreck-Gar's episode, "Garbage in Garbage out" also written by Mr Isenberg, was really good.
Actualy Nanosec was a really solid episode, the only reason people don't like it too much is because it's a human villain episode.
I'm partial to Irineo Maramba. Not because he's a good writer, I haven't seen enough from him to judge, but because his name is pure sex.
entirely subjective. i think the episodes that could be considered outright good to excellent are: thrill of the hunt along came a spider both the above handling relationship drama really well, for a kids show. dinobot epi, lost and found (and the likes), elite guard, which had decent writing but had lotsa action and featured lotsa characters to compensate. and the rest consisting of okay only episodes (like the soundwave one) and the bad ones (say...meltdown, which i think is okay but most seem to dislike it). as a caveat, the above is also entirely subjective, but at least not affected by the fact the wreckgar episode is a recently shown episode featuring a new character + g1 homage.
