Just a heads up all, check your bonus Mirage figures. The one I opened turned out to have two right lower arms. It's not the whole arm, oddly, just the forearm and hand...

It's hard, but you CAN tell in the packaging if you maneuver him around enough. IF you can see the tabs on the ends of the elbows that slip into the notch on the underside (look at a Classics Mirage for reference) and they are both flush with one another and roughly even with the underside of the car mode, it's fine. If one is even with the bottom of the car and the other is up inside someplace, you have two of the same forearm. If both are up inside the car, just swap them around, LOL.

Ayone got two left lower arms and want to swap me parts rather than I send it in?

Stories like this make me think twice about getting a con set. You pay a premium for these figures and they should be perfect. I mean it seems like the QC is really bad.

I think it was a little bit of a rush job this year. But doesn't sound like QC is really much worse then typical TF stuff from my experience.

Other than costing a HELL of a lot more than typical TF stuff, of course.
Mine's fine; been displaying it for a few days now. However I have to agree about the QC on this year's set.

Mine was missing the hinge pin that connects the neck to the body. It's plenty snug though, and displays and transforms fine.

I sold mine so I don't know. Luckily my Main set had none of the reported issues.

Don't think that way. I've been buying MC's exclusives since they took over the con in 2005, and this is the second problem I've ever encountered. The first was my Box Set Dirge having two of the same launcher, but that was easily fixed. This will be too, since I'll just mail it for replacement if no one has the mismatch I need to trade for. They do take care of you when you have an issue. Both my other Mirages, both my bag sets, and all my other exclusives this year have been fine, too. So out of 31 figures this year, and a total of 70 from MC, 2 had rectifiable issues that won't cost me to fix.

Apparantly, all the problems came this way from the factories. This is a problem with Hasbro QC, it seems, and not MC. And I can't blame MC for not being able to check every single one of 4,250 figures for this year when they didn't get them until about a week before the show.

Where's that number 4250 come from? My first thought was the math for five-figure sets, but that would be too low for 5 (number of figures) x 1450. We were told 1400 each of the souveniers, and that doesn't work into 4250 evenly at all. What am I missing?

the only thing that was wrong with mine... his right foot was HORRIBLY loose. thankfully I knew what I was doing and used my soldering iron to heat the pin and push it farther in, correcting the problem.

you could dab either some superglue, nailpolish (clear of course), or future floor finish on the bar of the knees and that'll take care of that problem... if you use superglue, just keep moving the knee until its dried.

You're a brave man, my friend. I'd never have the guts to put a con exclusive in that kind of danger, even for the sake of repair! Hats off bro.

I've had no trouble with any of my exclusives, sucky to hear that others have had issues though.

Check my Mirage this morning. It's nice and tight no problems whatsoever. This is an awesome figure. :D
