Finally had clear skies tonight, here are a few pics of my favorite constellation and my favorite star cluster, nothing fancy just pointed my camera at the section of sky I wanted to take a pic of, set exposure to it's longest setting, snapped a pic and then enhanced the contrast a bit in photoshop.

Space sucks because we'll be long gone and dead before we can actually go play past the damn moon or Mars .
What a tease. Nothing like alien breasts to start your day

The Pleiades are my favorite constellation. Did you know they are also know as subaru, as in the car company. That is what their symbol is.

Well, if humans decided to remain on Earth for the next 7 million years, the Earth's oceans will evaporate due to the sun getting 10 times hotter. Most life won't be able to live without water.

Then there's Earth getting engulfed by the Sun during its Red Giant phase 5 billion years from now. But we'll either be long gone, or moved out to different planets and galaxies.

Oh yeah, nice space pics D_C! :thumb

Great pictures! As a kid, I was really into stars and planets and such. I wanted to be an astronomer when I grew up, but that didn't happen.
