Thanks to a find on an online photo album we now have some imagery of several pieces of Transformers Movie merchandise in-package. There are a few keychains, and smaller devices that were previously seen and/or announced. We have seen some of these items packaged together in an Undercover Carabiner Set before, but this is our first look at some of these items packaged individually.

Don't you remember stuff like this existing back in the eighties? I know there was a slide puzzle, a torch, some pinball type game, bubble bath, soaps, walkie talkies. pajamas, bed covers, slippers, pencil cases, stationery and some other stuff.

That Prime keychain is nice...they can keep the rest of that junk though.

I'm sorry, but from the looks of all the stuff we are seing Hasbro is over doing. There is going to be a lot of this crap sitting in the clearance bins after the initial knee jerk movie toy rush.

The best part about the Night Scope and the Motion Sensor is that I'm sure they're going to work so incredibly well.

I find it curious that people are so offended by the fact Hasbro is doing exactly the same thing as they did in the 80s - flogging the brandname as hard as it can, with loads of smaller companies making merchandise.

The flood in the eighties was different. Hasbro had an extremely popular TV show running at the same time that kept the brand popular. The general public won't have that same attention span when it comes to movie toys. They will be hot for 6-8 weeks at the most. Then poof...the market dries up and you are left with a bunch of shelf warmers. Especially all the little obscure items that only a collector would have any interest in, but still won't buy until it's in the clearance bin. It happens with movie toys all the time. You would think the industry would have learned by now.
