Probably Nightscream from beast machines.

 

G1 Wheelie was and still is the only TF I ever disliked.

 

Nightscream. Everytime I saw him I just... ugh.

 

Well I didn't hate anyone but in the g1 cartoon I didn't like how they made Wheelie sound.

 

I absolutely hated G1 Starscream as a kid.

I have since come to appreciate the whining idiot though.

Unicron I'm kind of indifferent about, but... Hating G1 Megatron? Seriously? That's kind of... Wow, like... I can't even describe. Is it in the kid-like sense of hating him because he killed Optimus? Or do you really hate the character? Because that just seems kinda weird. I've never known anyone who hated G1 Megatron. That seems as alien as hating Optimus Prime. They're two opposite sides of the coin.

And to answer the OP question, which I think is a good one - I really have to admit to having a love-hate relationship with Rodimus Prime. I think a lot of fans feel the way I do. When he was a leader the show was boring and hard to relate to. He was uninspiring, indecisive, and lacked the moral clarity and convictions of Optimus. He was really weak sauce once the afterglow of the movie wore off, but one has to admit he really got great treatment in the movie and I think like others, that still sticks with me. I think in the end his lack of concern for humankind makes him a supremely unappealing Autobot, much less autobot leader, and without that, the show completely loses its guts. So, Rodimus.

 

I remembered hating Tarantulus mainly because he was one creepy mech.

 

I never really hated any TF character... until I watched Energon when I got it on DVD in the past year or so, because I absolutely cannot stand Kicker.

 

I never liked Beast Wars Scorponok... I found him to be kinda boring compared to everyone else. He also annoyed me quite a bit...

 

I honestly can't remember hating any particular character from any of the cartoons I watched as a kid (Transformers, G.I Joe, He-Man, Dinosaucers, Thundercats, etc.... all the 80's standbys). I think I was pretty magnanimous about all of those characters, though there were of course some that I liked more than others.

But since you did open it up to other cartoons, one franchise I HATED, and still hate, is the goddamned Smurfs. Couldn't stand them as a kid, still can't stand them as a 32-year-old manchild. They can go smurf themselves.

As a kid I hated Galvatron. Just couldn't see any good reason to go from Megatron to Galvatron when Megatron seemed liked a cooler character with his mass shifting alt mode.

 

I grew up with Marvel G1, and loved how Shockwave was portrayed in the comics. Cue absolute outrage when I saw how they turned him into an incompetent sycophant in the Sunbow G1 cartoon. Quite a lot of my childlike doodles subsequently featured comics Shockwave melting his cartoon counterpart down to a pool of molten scrap. I was about six at the time, and my view still has not changed.
