The packaging is pretty plain but functional. the Head comes with instructions on installation and eye colour switching

If you have FOC Grimlock, this set is a must, gets rid of that horrible looking head and adds his
trademark double barreled blaster. making the figure from mediocre at best to a worthy display
piece for your classics or foc shelves

 

It's interesting how just changing the head on a Transformer can drastically improve its appearance.

 

I have the gun for both the Hasbro FoC Grimlock and the 2 of the metallic versions for the Takara's deco. I am thoroughly impressed with them.

I pre-ordered the head, but I'm on the fence about the blaster since I have a G1 Grimlock blaster I'm not using - my Takara FOC Grimmy is still in transit so I can't check if it can use the G1 blaster or not... can anyone confirm?

 

pretty sure the g1 blaster is 4mm is it not?

Interesting. This looks a lot better than the initial pictures looked. I wonder if that is from the feedback they got or if the prototype just wasn't quite finished. This head looks a bit bigger and looks like it sits lower than the initial pics showed. Less spindly looking to me.

I'd like to order but all the websites have the old pics still so I'm cautious.

 

Several online retailers either have them or just about to get them.

I really enjoy the 3rd party stuff...is this 3rd party? I have the heads for my ironhide and ratchet..helps those TF's by like 100%!!

This kit is worth every penny of my money.

 

it is, like the handle placement on the hero rifle, they like to adjust things that aren't working

are these the regular ones of the limited edition metallic ones? can't tell, all your pics look so shiny  

 

There's only the one version of the product design, the black or metallic version is the only difference. So you're not going to get anything else.

I'd guess the normal version, since he's using the Hasbro version of the toy.
