Uasually I like modding my G1s to articulate but also to look original, This one I modded a little more because I love Wheeljacks alt mode, but his robot mode always looked a little funny to me, short and dumpy with knucles that look like they want to drag the ground like a gorillas.

I gave him balljoints on his shulders and hips, hinged knees, and a couple more steps of transformation including extended legs and bending elbows. I also gave him a much needed crotch section.

*1/05/09 UPDATE: He was dissasembled, and sent through a hydrogen peroxide whitening process, then I added, toon accurate eyes, toon accurate missle, and launcher with pivoting mount, and a fresh set of Repolabels.*

very nicely done. Extending the legs definitely makes a difference. Great work.

Not my favourite of your brood of articulated G1 'bots, but in all fairness, the base figure is already cursed with some awkward proportions. Wheeljack is a beast to work with.

Top notch work as usual, and going the extra mile with the extending legs and extra jointing makes a difference.

...and besides, simian proportions aren't so out of place on a greasemonkey like Wheeljack. :)

Very well done indeed! Poor guy is pretty ugly to start with so you did great with the available design!

You have balls man. I would never risk doing this to any of my G1 Tf's. Very nicely done as well.

Eventually, but I have a few G1 Autobots left to do still, Im mostly into early G1 bots, so thats mainly what my customs are. I have Soundwave, Blaster, Rodimus Prime, and a couple of the other easier big bots set aside to do, but I have a scrach build im working on and another planned after that, so it might be awhile.

Yeah, not my favorite either, but I felt he needed some sort of attention, so I tried. A beast to work with is right, Im still trying to perfect him. At first I tried a balljoint head, but with the width of it, it had to be extended out too much to move, and looked odd, now im working on another set of fists that will be on balljoints, but with his propotions, I fear there is little hope. He's not perfect, but I think he looks better than he did.

It's still very impressive but the G1 original sucked big time.

No rush on seeing bigger tfs at all, I like your run on the Autobots, they've been given a new life I feel. They really are nice toys and your work amplifies that.

Based on what you had to work with in terms of the original figure, it's another excellent custom.

I suppose thicker legs would look nice, but it's still a vast improvement in terms of articulation.

    Nice work!

Another excellent piece of work - especially considering what a disaster the original toy is! To get greater accuracy and articulation out of that is incredible.

Very well done. Definately improves on the original, like, ten times over.

Throw a E Downshift head on him and paint one rocket/launcher to match then ditch the other and he's damn near toon acurate

Thats actually a damn good idea, I think ill get the upgrade set from reprolabels to give him eyes instead of the Downshift head, but the launcher idea is a must, thanks.
