Hi all, this is my take on G1 Hound. I put ball joints on his head, hips, and wrists. I also extended his arms slightly, made his waist swivel, and hindged his shoulders and knees.

Screw Classics/Universe. If you could mass-produce these, you could write your own ticket.

I'm still astounded that your modifications can be so extensive, and yet so elegantly invisible. They really look like they jumped right out of my 9-year-old fantasies of what I wished my TFs looked like in 1984.

It almost brings tears to my eyes.

Top notch as usual! Great stuff, you're doing an awesome job on these, always look forward to seeing the latest one..

What about Hound's great clodhopping feet btw; is there any way to balljoint his ankles?

Any chance of getting a group shot? Who is next?.......Sunstreaker, Hoist/Trailbreaker? Are you sticking to reissued guys (save for Prime)?

Great work man! Hound is one of my all time favorite toys and characters, I love the G1 figs that actually look like their cartoon counterparts. I personally think some of your work should be front paged cuz I think every G1 fan can appreciate some added articulation and the elegance of how well you pull them off.

I've been inviting all my local TF buddies to come check out that Jazz you did for me. They are always pretty amazed

Oh wow that came out great. For as much of a brick as G1 Hound was, you really made it shine.

What's your average work-time on something like this?

Hound was the first G1 figure I ever got as a kid, since I was way into GI Joe first and him being a military jeep. He'll always have a fondness in my memories, but this really brings it all back up again.

Have I told you I hate you this week yet man ;)

I just looked at him again, and I probably could, maybe ill go back and revamp him sometime, thanks.

I posted a shot on the Superquad7s' "I Haz Customz" thread, but that was before Hound was finished, and I have a few molds to go,( Skids, Sunstreaker, Ironhide/Ratchet, Hoist/Trailbreaker) so I might wait until a few more are finished before another shot. But my goal is to do every 84'-85' Autobot car, and Ive also been looking at a few minibots.

Thanks man, glad you like my work, but I think unless you are a G1 fan, it is hard to appreciate. I think some of the younger posters that are spoiled by today movable figures look at G1 as a primitive starting point for the TF toy line, to me, they are my childhood memories, and they deserve some love.

I can usually get one out in less then a week, but there is usually about 12-15 hours on each one, sometimes more, depending on the complexity of the joints. Hounds shoulders took me about 6-7 hours to perfect.

And no, you havent told me yet, but I feel the love.:D

I'd love it if you'd take close-ups of your actual work (the joints) more in addition to the overall shots.
