My memory card for my PS2's died. My second MC I just got works fine, but neither mine nor my brother's PS2 reads the other card as being there. What's the point of getting the official brand if it dies? Is there anything that can be done or am I out of luck? If I'm screwed, Sony can go to hell.

Does it not see the card at all, or does it see it as bad? If the card is corrupt, you usually get the option of reformatting it. You lose all your data, and that sucks, but you can at least still use the card again--if you still trust it not to fuck up again. If it doesn't read the card at all, did you make sure the card's contacts are clean? Couldn't hurt to make sure. If the memory in the card actually crapped out, you're probably S.O.L. I don't think I've ever had that happen though.

No error, no corruption message, just says it doesn't exist.

Damn. That's not sounding good. I'd clean the contacts thoroughly and pray.

I have a memory card my PS2 is picky about. push it a bit to the left or right and see if it recognizes it.

That suucks. Had a ps1 official memory card go clean on me and it was full of rpg game saves. I also had everything for Tekken 3 unlocked on it , grr.
Never had that on the Nyko cards, but had 'corrupted data' on them a few times
