    Currently just a thought, if Takara/Hasbro is going to release the one of the following characters as masterpiece figures;

    1) Scourge (Sweeps)

    2) Gnaw (Sharkticons)

    3) Guardian robots/Dark Guardians

Are you going to buy multiples of them to armybuild/troopbuild despite the possible expensive cost? Which one would you get to armybuild/troopbuild and why yes or no? Opinions and thoughts are very welcomed.

Possibly Scourge. Maybe get three if the cost isn't over 100-130 USD.

    Omega Supreme clones?? Not sure.

Sharkticons? Wouldn't even buy the first one...

The only one of those with a chance in hell of getting a Masterpiece is Scourge.

I'd buy one, and that's it. I didn't even troop build the Classics version (though I would've sworn I had a second around here somewhere...)

If I wouldn't troop build with $12 figures, no way would I troop build with $70 or higher figures.

They should make an MP Omega Supreme. Knowing Hasbro he'll probably be the size of MP Megatron, so I'll use him for my classics.

The cost of 100-130 USD for 1 masterpiece scourge or all three?

By the way, i was thinking of mentioning the junkions here but i think the junkions each look different as they have different character model and using multiples of wreck-gar may not be effective...

Back when the Ehobby Guardian came out there were a few people around here who bought several to troop build. Those were $230 a pop. I only picked up one personally.

That to me would be a mighty expensive troopbuild if they did Scourge, especially if they are $200-$250 a pop,but I am sure some people on here would buy 10 or 15 without hesitation.Me personally I wouldn't buy one at that price, but if it was say $75 to $100 I might get one,but not a crapload of them.

Hopefully there might be a regular retail release of Guardian robots/Dark Guardians masterpiece figures and not Ehobby exclusives (which probably cost more :cry  )

That's too expensive for me too! I was thinking for Hasbro release, around $ 75 whereas for Takara's release, maybe around $ 150, which is similar to the price of MP11 Starscream

Not a chance, even if they're released at TRU for $70-$100.

For the price and limited amount. No thanks. But if sideswipe cheaper and smaller than the usual mp maybe it would be a 39.99 price point and that would not be too bad for some sweeps.

No. Buying a complete set of the original Seeker Trio is expensive enough for effectively buying the exact same figure three times in different colors.

Hrm. See sig. I'm thinking three sets of three. But that's not nearly as crazy as doing it with Masterpieces.

You need not worry. There's still the universe/generations/RTS/classics line which are fantastic and awesome! :D

:2c:  Hmmm..........(to build or not to build?)

$39.99? Sorry but I doubt that will be happening :cry  ........Even the takara yoyager prime figures (first edition) costed around $52.90........

Sets of three? I think I'm scared to imagine what the price may be.......

I think that if they pumped out a boat load of masterpiece grade, smaller Gnaw figures, everybody with MP09 and MP08 would snap up a few. make them Voyager size, price them at $30 and you're on to a winner.

Scourge however would need to be a full size release, and i'd want three, so dropping 3x $60-70 is not happening.

Same with the Guardians, they'd have to be huge and detailed, so price would be a big barrier. Besides, I have only the vaguest recollection of them, so i'd likely pass anyway.
