after completing decepticon sandstorm, i am now starting on a new project.
bootleg classic seekers are abundant in my area so it's time to army build!

this next one is not as complicated as sandstorm where all the parts had to be repainted.
i started with a bootleg thundercracker. it has blue plastic with sloppy red paint apps.
i have scraped off the red paint from the torso and applied silver. the head has been painted black. and the gray thighs were swapped from a bootleg starscream.

i'll be keeping the blue plastic on this project.
the focus would be more on detailing.

that said, i have to buy a silver sharpie to paint the face.

some floppy joints will also have to be tightened with floor polish.

i also have to think of ways to differentiate this seeker from thundercracker.

    no name yet.

    Aaaaannnnddd we're done!

Nothing much modded here. Basically spray painted the torso silver, swapped the arms and thighs with bootleg starscream, painted the head, painted the face and the feet, and that's that. The bootleg plastic works and I'm still happy with how this turned out. The red on the shins are original bootleg paint. Was debating whether to remove it or not, but decided on keeping it.

    Decepticon emblems are decals.

and here's a comparison with Generations Thundercracker.

    With the other seekers:

And because I'm geeky, I did some tech spec bio written in the tradition of G1.

Highly-skilled but not motivated. Not as fanatical as the other troops, only joined the ranks for the energon. Actually surprised when asked to join the Seekers. Very skilled in intelligence gathering and has potential for leadership but prefers grunt work instead. Flies up to 1500 mph and reach an altitude of 52 miles. Although generally apathetic, he’s still a skilled fighter when armed with fragmentation bombs.

And where are you that we can find these? I liked your sandstorm. Looking forward to this one.

try searching at robinsons malls. they sell these for around 200php each.
the most common is starscream. he's also the best base to use for a custom. the plastic is gray already.
you just need to remove the crappy paint apps.

a bit rarer is the bootleg skywarp. it's a dead ringer for the original skywarp. the only difference is the
cockpit glass. its blue on the bootleg.

rarest is bootleg thundercracker. only saw two of these on the pegs and got 'em both.

it is worth noting that bootleg starscream and skywarp have their fists on backwards and their thighs are switched, making the knees bend forwards. both of these are easily remedied.

bootleg thundercracker has no misassemble problems but is very very very floppy.

i just need to buy a silver sharpie for the face and it's finished!

    However, if you're an Autobot that's a glutton for punishment . . . . :ev:

If you want a way to differentiate your seekers, why not try buying the generic seeker stickers in the classics section of reprolabels. I got them and they made a world of difference for my generic seeker corp. I can even post some pics later if you like.

yep. but i won't be sticking to the strictly lavender and white color scheme.
this first one will be one of those generic blue seeker troops.
still hoping to find some more bootleg coneheads so i can mix and match their heads and wings.
