Armed in 30 Seconds????

    So I was watching DOTM on my laptop and got to the part where Sam uses the boomstick on Starscream, and since Wheeljack said it would blow in 30 seconds I wanted to see if that was actually accurate.

    According to the timer on my DVD Player app, he engaged it at 2:03:35. It blew up Starscream at 2:04:41, for a grand total of 66 seconds. Slight oversight.

    Wheeljaq always was an almost incompetent inventor. Lucky for him his inventions had to actually blow up this time.

    I was going to say the same thing too, they were trying the weapons, also when Sam tried to use it to help Bumblebee it didn't work, so yeah prototypes are not reliable.

    I'd laugh if they were actually supposed to be stun sticks, and the "boom" title was just ironic.

    Fixed. It's not like Bay is the only director who's movies have somewhat awkward timing.

    THIS. Watch any movie that has something to do with things being timed ("5 minutes until X!", "The bomb will blow in 30 seconds!", etc.), and 99% of the time, they're always off.

    "10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2...1..." in a movie equals probably 18 seconds.

    Movie timing is NEVER in sync with the real thing.

    Beside if they didn't stretch the scene out a bit we wouldn't have all the lolz of the utter humiliation of Starscream :)

    It's a Drama-Effect, slow down the time a bit. The scene while sam was hanging on screamers head was also in slomo

    Timing fuses are not the best thing to integrate a safety margin into.
