Just wanted to break up all the DOTM titles alittle.I would say this is one of the best Tf games i've played.Everything about the game was smooth and the first time you see Tidel Wave...EPIC. who else loved this game?

When it was first released, the game was quite fantastic. While it hasn't aged all that well, it's still ranks as one of the better Transformers games out there. I haven't played it in a good 2-3 years though.

It hasn't aged well at all I'm afraid. I tried playing it last week and I couldn't keep playing. I'm not sure what it was that turned me off the game, considering how much I loved it back in the PS2 era. :(

I can understand it not ageing well. The transformations were smooth, the minicon idea worked good for it.It was one of those games that was just fun to play.

i still have it too. play it when im bored. out of all the tf games released ever, the armada game has the hardest campaign mode. you have to choose just the right minicons for the job, whether it was cloaking yourself, or flying, or opening a hellstorm of rockets on the enemy, you had to have tactics. this, however, doesnt make it not-fun. i beat the entire game and loved doing it! the unicron level was like the cherry on the awesome shake! my most favorite tf game, and the best tf game of all time. .....now im going to go play it ;)

The game was hard. Even the basic grunt could kill you with a couple of blows.

It's a bit of a stretch, I admit, but I will definitely say that it is one of the best PS2 games ever made.

That's part of why I love the game. The music is outstanding for a video game of that time.

It's a pretty good game. Could have used more levels and more variety in the characters in retrospect, but at the time it was the best Transformers game ever released. Even now it's still up there - the amount of customisation you can do on your characters in that game is something that's sadly lacking in newer games.

The music is also awesome, especially the Unicron battle theme.

I had a blast with the Armada game. It was a great mix good gameplay and an open(ish) world to play in.

Yes, it was amazing. My favorite being the "Base Theme" where you select your character and Mini-Cons.

I've been replaying it as we speak. And yes, I'd say it's held up to the test of time quite well. The controls can be a little wonky, but the graphics are all around very nice, and I like it better then the cartoon itself. It really carries that transformers feel over very nicely.

Could this be the best thing to come out of Armada? I want to play it again just to see Tidel Wave transform and just go OH SHIT. I hated fighting him,you had to look up and keep running and aim your weapon.. I found RedAlert was the best option for me on him.

Love this game. I can't tell you how many times I've erased my 100% complete game save and replayed it all the way through. It's just a LOT of fun. Sure, there's lots of room for improvement. The DeceptiCLONE army was bland and we only saw 4 real Decepticons in the whole game (Cyclonus, Starscream, Tidal Wave, Megatron) and only 3 real Autobots (Prime, Red Alert, Hotshot), and not one level took place in a city, but it was still so much fun.

And the music totally rocks. Love the Cyclonus theme!!
