I saw a bit of Armada today(Galvatron vs Starscream) for the first time and enjoyed it. Is the rest of it a good series and would you recommend seeing the rest of it? I immediately took a liking to it, unlike Prime, so I'm hoping the rest of it is decent.

It starts out weak but after a while it does gets better if you can handle the weak aspects. Though to me Prime's done a better job at it but hey it's my persoanl opinon don't take heed of it.

The first part isn't that great. It gets a lot better in the second half of the story. In a similar thread another user suggested starting at "Rebellion" and working your way up, so I suppose you could do that. If you want to see the beginning and how the first batch of characters are introduced, then I'd watch the whole thing.

I will warn you that the 5 kids are extremely annoying, especially Carlos, Billy, and Fred.

The constant searching for Minicons is part of what makes the beginning not as good, but if you're okay with that then watch the whole thing (but you might want to avoid "Carnival").

There's also some script issues because CN made the dubbers rush with production

I remember being crazy about Armada as a kid. Looking back on it now, I realize that I had very low standards. :lol

The 2nd half was much better than the first, as you'll find everyone saying :p

If you don't care about character introductions, start with "Rebellion" and work your way up. Once the Requiem Blaster comes into play it starts to get really good.

Generally you'll hate 75% of it, though.

    That's my same reaction too!:lol

In a way Armada was the series that REALLY introduced me into the world of the Autobots and Decepticons. Before then I thought Transformers had only Maximals and Predicons since I grew up with Beast Wars. So I was suprised to hear that in the Toonami promo of Armada I was supresed that one fot eh characters was named MEgatron. The Megatron I knew before then was an evil James Bond T-Rex/Dragon!:lol

Very under-rated show. The very early episodes were a little poor, but with wheeljack's introduction episodes and starscream's story arc it picks up steam, and once unicron comes into play, the show gets really good, and (in my opinion) ends with the best Optimus vs. Megatron battle in any TV series that has both impressive fight choreography and dialogue.

Armada was the series that really introduced me to Transformers (though the movies are what got me hooked). As others have stated, the first half is kinda whatever, but the second half is much better. I say give it a chance.

Just watch the first 2 or so episodes, then skip to episode 23.

yeah watch the second half of armada, then the first half of Energon, then go right to cybertron.

they should have kept the animation style for energon though since they sprinkle in some cell animation during the series and its so bueatiful compared to ... well ...

Good you started late because you'd hate this series if watched the earlier eps.

I dont like the Unicron trilogy Armada had some good stuff to it,if you have spare time watch some of the better episodes ,its not something to go out of your way and watch though.

Same here I overall enjoyed it, but hated the kids. But I hated Wheeljack's design in the cartoon.... :redface2:

Now that's a name worthy of a Decepticon! Did he look good too or was he still generic as scrap?

He's the same as in the USA version but it's still fitting for him then Wheeljack.
