Thinking of getting it since it resembles the G1 movie version so much. I would love to have it torment my TFs while I make an Orson Welles voice. But how much is it worth?
I don't know of any pricing guide value for it, but they're pretty common and I wouldn't pay more than $50-$60 MISB. It's fairly easy to find a loose one for much cheaper, though. Hope this helps!
Standard eBay pricing is around $60-70 for the normal version. The price for the Black one varies a lot...anywhere from $70-100.
It will be interesting to see what the value of the original armada release does when the Universe re-release comes out. My guess, it will go down quite a bit.
I've seen sealed ones got for like $60 - $80, in that neightborhood. But that was Ebay "desperation" prices and the shipping would effect it. Like, if a guy had one for sale for $50 but wanted $30 to ship it, you might see the same amount of bids as the guy who had it for $70 but with $10 shipping, that kind of thing. But that price always seemed high to me. These things were on clearance at Target back in the day for like $20. What's the new one going to be? $50? I'd hold out for that new one. But that's just me.
You and me both! I got mine from KB-Toys, how about you? I passed on the Energron one but later picked up a mib one for cheap.
If you're not a MISB collector, spare yourself the expense and get a loose one. I got one loose at a thrift store (minus accessories and half a chest plate) for only $2.98. And my wife got me another complete loose one in great condition at a flea/antique shop for $15.
To tell you the truth, I didn't buy him. It was Shogi from this here forum who did, and shipped it to me. He said it was the last one, and as a I recall it was also at KB-Toys. @ Shogi - If you're still visiting this forum Scott, you still have my gratitude for that deal.
If I were you, I'd wait for the Universe version, same figure, fresh on the shelves = Cheaper then trying to hunt down an older MISB figure.
