I know this should probably go under the Favorite Transformer of the Day thread, but I had to give him his own little area. This guy is freaking awesome. I just pulled mine out of storage for the first time in years. I forgot how great he is. I guess you could consider him a combiner, since he is three ships that can form one bad ass ship and one totally killer robot. Just thought I'd give a little love to a long lost friend.

Tidal Wave is an example of how to do a Duocon Right. (Although he's technically a Triocon :p )

I'm a fan of most of the giant transformers. I, too, think Tidal Wave is cool. There aren't a lot of Armada molds I'm fond of, but this one stands out for me. He has a G1 feel to me that I like. I can forgive a transformer for being kind of a brick if they're large and have 4 gun turrets mounted on them (not to mention a mini con that effectively conveys a sense of scale).

I'm inspired to do a Tidal Wave Meets Overlord photo shoot this weekend.

The same piece of bricky ****** that goes "Shock, Shock" in the Japanese Superlink anime. :lol

He's easily one of my fave bots in that series. :rock

Tidal Wave is my favorite from Armada, leaving out Unicron of course. He is totally bad ass. 2 years ago I was at a flea market and got the white and green Energon version for $15 MISB.

Armada Tidal Wave is awesome. He's got an excellent warship mode, and he stands nice and tall in robot mode. Has a real presence to him when he is stood there.

@ Ersico - Looks like the one in that lot is complete except for the missiles, and might also be missing his Ramjet Mini-Con, if it isn't in the arm. You've also got part of the Costco Energon Armada Optimus Prime and Overload set. Overload looks like he is all there, there's Prime's trailer, but Prime looks like he is missing his chest. You should be able to make the combined mode just fine though.

I like his design, eventhough he's lacking some articulation, he's my second favorite figure from Armada after Supercon Prime.

I agree, Tidal Wave is a lot of fun...I really wish it has knee and had articulation but still it looks so cool. Nice and big. I love putting the Sea Minicon Team on the little chairs, ready to be deployed to battle haha.

I love Armada Tidal Wave. I still need to pick up another one since mine was lost in the great "You Donated THAT Box to Goodwill instead of That Box?!" fiasco of 2005. I hope he at least went to some kid that appreciated him and not a thrift store stalking scalper who chucked him on Ebay.

Agreed, I'm not a big fan of Hasbro's Version but that version really takes the cake. Not sure if I overpaid but these things are hard to find so I just jumped on it.

As everyone else has stated a really cool figure; even if a bit bricky. I really like the transparent window/elevator cover on the Energon repaint. When Ramjet is inside it looks like machinery...

He looks amazing in the PS2 game when you have to fight him.

Looks great with the WSTF's as well.

He needs a head remold and a repaint as Broadside.
