He's an okay figure but you really have to like his Headmaster-esque gimmick for him to be worthwild. Cycle mode is nice, and it's cool his Minicons can combine and ride him. But articulation is limited on him, very limited. He's really just for the ones that really like the gimmick.

I have him and love him. He's a brick, yes. But a cool brick. I don't even display him with one of the minicon's as his head. I think he looks best without them, so I have them in their combined mode standing beside him on my "Minions of Unicron" shelf.

What sucks is the gimmick doesn't even work oin mine and I can't figure out why, but I like him overall, crappy articulation aside.

Meh. He's decent enough for an Armada figure. Not the best to come out of the line, but not the worst. The minicon heads look fairly silly.

I recommend him. He is blocky and has little articulation, but he looks cool as a bike, looks cool as a robot and is three figures in one. He looks great next to other Transformers motorcycles.

I wouldn't suggest the figure himself but the combined rider is very cool IMO. The alt mode for him is decent enough. If you can get him for ten or just slightly more, go for it. Any more than that and he just isn't justified.

Yes, don't break the bank on him, but he is a very cool little toy. One of my favourite Armada-era deluxes.

I don't have the Armada version of him, but I do have the Energon Re-color(called Rapid Run). Descent mold, but like others said, the different heads look kinda silly.

i have him and you can get some pretty cool poses out of him with some imagination. he is a brick and its a shame , i loved his character on the show. the little minicon guys who combine together look great when combined too.

This is completely IMO, but Sideways ranks as one of the WORST TF mold ever created...not much more poseability than G1 toys, the gimmick is a neat idea but both heads are hideous, and the minicons are utter crap as well. If you want it more for the character than the toy, I'd say go for it, but find it for dirt cheap...less then retail is still paying too much for the mold. But, to each their own. If you think you'd like it go for it.

and had the cool hidden mini-con gimmick.

I got Armada Sideways, along with Hot Shot and Smokescreen, they form the trio I wish I'd never bought. Sideways can barely move, and his Mini-con heads are too big, and look terrible seperately. Go with Cybertron Sideways, same idea, much better figure.

I'm a big Headmaster fan but I think that figure sucks.

Cycle mode looks ok, but the "head gimmick" that is specific to this figure just looks atrocious IMO. The head looks so horribly bad it's not even funny, the figure's damned legs are sticking in the air!

It's sad when the old Headmasters from the 80's look much better than a modern toy when you would think there had been some advancements made.

I would only get it if you collect motorcycles or something.

Stay away, stay far away...Run if you have to!

I really loved the idea of Sideways, but the lack of articulation was a big letdown.
The bike and rider combo almost makes up for it though. He kind of reminds me of a moose.

I've got 2, one of each version where the other head reverses the symbol. Makes him a real schizo. :D

I never did use the official head transformations for Arm Sideways. I always folded the legs down so they tucked out of the way, the heads still looked way too big but the overall look was much improved that way, I felt.
