I was browing through the TFwiki and read this:

"He can also attach to the trailer of Super Optimus Prime for an undocumented Super Mode, by detaching the lower half of Overload's legs and plugging the trailer-legs into the sockets on his thighs."

Never heard of this before and I don't have Super Pants Prime anymore to try it.

Can someone post a pic please?

It's not truly undocumented. Overload attaching to Armada Prime's base mode was always known. It just all uses the same clips and tabs to do so. This means you can attach him to Jetfire as well.

And unfortunately, it looks pretty dooky. I'll snap some pics tomorrow if someone doesn't beat me to it.

I'd try it out, but I sold my Overload some time ago.

The TF wiki article mentions the combined base mode. But this article seems to mention a different way of attaching Overload to the trailer (aside from just towing it behind him)

...am I just reading it wrong?

    Edit:http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Overload_(Armada)#Toys

Edit 2: Overload can be pulled by Rollout in his altmode, Optimus Prime's cab, or attached to Optimus's trailer to form a double trailer. Overload can also transform into a dual spring-loaded missile-firing cannon pack for Optimus Prime's Super Mode (forming Optimus Prime Megaweapon), and can also attach to Prime's trailer in its "base" mode. He can also attach to the trailer for an undocumented Super Mode, by detaching the lower half of Overload's legs and plugging the trailer-legs into the sockets on his thighs.

LOL It sounds like Overload wearing the Superpants.

Why did I never try that?

It's not really a different way actually. It's the same clips he's using to attach to base mode. You'll see what I mean. Here's some pics.

This is about as good as it gets. He basically just looks like a guy with really short legs standing on some Super Pants. I tried to find some way to attach Jetfire's sheild to his front to make it look a little better, but that ain't happening.

While we're on the subject of Armada Overload, I thought I'd use this opportunity to dispell a nasty rumor that Overload is a Partsformer. As in, you have to take off his lower legs and attach them to the arms for his Cannon Mode. This is NOT the case! It's actually one of my favorite clever things about him. This picture should show you what I mean.

When you flip over the hand covers and put his arms straight down at his sides, a little tab on the hand cover nests into the gray knee pad. This makes sure all the grooves line up so you can slide the cannons/feet over to the arms!

I could never make Armada Jetfire into pants. The thought makes me cringe, but Overload as a trailer? Hmmm.

The lower legs get disconnected from one part and re-connected to another part... in some people's views that could be seen as partsforming. It's a gray area though... I don't think it's 100% true to say he is a partsformer, but it's also not 100% true to say he is not a partsformer.

Ah! Thanks Demonicon. I was picturing it different in my head. I was picturing the weapon mode attached to the trailer in vehicle mode or something.

I do like the way you have the feet/cannons attached to the arms though.

I recently got the korean sonokong reissue of micron legend overload, the feature to linkup with Optimus Primes power base is on the back and side panel of the box.

Also sweet pics. Glad I have a Armada powerlinx Jetfire now. Overload space pants is win.

The hitch on Universe Ultra Magnus (Bendy Prime repaint) can be used to pull Energon Ultra Magnus (Overload repaint). Shame they can't combine.
