Armada Optimus Prime and Megatron

    I have to wonder.....
    In Transformers Armada, are Optimus Prime and Megatron the same G1 characters we all came to love and know, but just in new forms, or are both of them different? I know from Prime's Cybertronian robot form, he looks to be G1-ish. Megatron really though, you can't even tell because of the fact that aside from a paint job and other minor differences like tank treads, he looks the same as his Cybertronian mode. But seriously, I do have to wonder if this Prime is the same as G1 and if Megs is as well, just in more powerful bodies.

    Thoughts, opinions?

    Nope.

    Armada is a completely separate continuity from G1. There are a few G1-based character models thrown into crowd shots on Cybertron, but all they are is little references for the fans.

    this is correct other than names and a few tips of the hat to G1 its different, that said they do share the same basic points of view with there G1 counterparts

    I believe that armada was the closest reincarnation of g1 that has ever been aired really, they do have a slight g1 feel to em, but i didnt like the look of armada prime or megatron...
