The Collector's Club repaint of Armada Jetfire as Astrotrain is so-so at best, IMO.
The reason? the body style in Robot mode seems off. To me, the bulky body seems more fitting as Omega Supreme, even to the wings on his back.

Anyone else think the Armada Jetfire mold would be better in Orange and brown and whatever color his tracks were?

nope. mostly because of the hands. omega supreme should never have hands.

    spreem has hands.

I think the Armada Jetfire mold would be better off never used again.

The armada series had some of the worst toy designs ever, this is close to the top of that list.

I gotta agree with it should never be used again after all armada toys were all about gimmicks and the quality suffered so much so they could pack more gimmicks in. Give me a toy with no gimmicks and a great looking bot and alt mode with a good transformation and i am happy.

It would be interesting, and would fit to a certain degree, but I personally don't think it should happen. I still think Hasbro should make a new mold for him. Universe is the perfect opportunity for it, imo.

Armada Jetfire is underrated as hell, is a very cool toy, nice in both modes.

I can;t really picture Jetfire in Omega Supreme colors. Might be fun to see a digibash but I can;t really imagine I'd want a toy of it anyway.

If the leg articulation wasn't so terrible it would have been a great mold.

I can't see the mold in those colors. I do like that mold though.

I think Energon Omega Supreme is SCREAMING for a repaint in g1 colors.

As for the Jetfire mold maybe a new head, give it a micromaster homage as Photon or (snicker) Blast Master

Armada was not all bad. Sure, some of the designs were very lacking compared to what came before and afterwards, but those toys were a lot of fun to fiddle around with. After lukewarm receptions to shows at best on both sides of the Pacific, Armada was exactly what was needed to bring kids back into Transformers again. The increased emphasis on gimmicks and simple transformations made it a great entry level line in that respect.

Armada Jetfire I felt was one of the better toys in the line. Big and bulky, he felt like a robot built for exploring outer space. Great shuttle mode, nice robot mode. Could have done with better knees / hips, but other than that he was enjoyable.

Bring him back as Omega? Not a bad idea. Though I think I'd rather see Cybertron Menasor in the role. He's got kind of the right arms already and the TFCC knows as much. They reused the design for their Omega Doom. Jetfire I think would make a decent Dai Atlas. He's got the right proportions, the wings on the back match up, and the shuttle mode is a good substitute for Dai Atlas' own spaceship mode.

I know i shoulda been burned at the stake for the suggestion. i just thought that the mold being used as Astrotrain was not such a great idea.

I suppose as a Radicon project, it could be pulled off, but i do agree that Hasbro shouldn't make it happen. Especially if we can get a new mold for TFU

Hmmmm...decent, but for the price the OTFCC exclusives go I wouldn't buy it.

As for that mold being Omega Supreme, I also just don't feel it. I think a retooled Cybertron Menasor is the way to go (then the retooled head could be used for a run of SG "Omega Doom", which is SG Omega Supreme using the Cyb. Menasor body and BlackZarak's colors)

I'd rather have a Blast-Off repaint. I love that mold, so it doesn't matter. Gun is a bit bulky though.
