Yeah, it was originally discussed in the news area. The likeliest thing it refers to is the GENERATION 2 comic, where Fort Max sacrifices his life to prevent Megatron from using the Ark any further.
Yep and I stopped liking Furman so much after that. I'm glad Fort Max is still alive and well in the Japanese continuity. Anyway, speaking of continuity, it seems like the Titanium series isn't too concerned with it.
No such thing as real continuity with Transformers.
Yeah, the continuity is a mess at the best of times. We really need a Crisis on Infinite Cybertrons or a House of Megatron to sort it all out.
I could definently go with a Crisis on Infinite Cybertrons, but please no House of Megatron...
House of Megatron? I don't get it. What do you mean?
He's refering to this past years X-Men crossover called House of M (Magneto) which takes place shortly after Avengers Dis-Assemble. Scarlet Witch goes nuts and bad things happen... IMO... it was crappy and deserves it's wonderful House of Suck nickname.
Damn, I never heard that...I guess thats what I get for not buying comics for ten years...
Yeah, a House of Megatron would likely turn three forths of our transformers into Action Masters, after it was deemed there were too many Transformers...
i thought the ark was destroyed by Trypticon in the cartoon? LOL Gesh continuity is out the window.
yeah, I think it was.
it was destroyed by Trypticon. Some odd reason all the Minibots seemed to think that the combined forces of ALL the Minibots + Teletran 1's weapon system could have stopped the mighty Trypticon......they were wrong! dead wrong!
Yeah, hadn't thought of them doing the equivalent of half the mutants on the planet loosing their mutant powers.
So... like what? We find out that Megatron has a daughter that he created and she's got some of Unicron's powers or something... or maybe some of Primus' powers and can reshap the universe as she sees fit?
Well, cartoon continuity is that Trypticon destroys the Ark and most of the mountain at the begining of S3.
Comic conitnuity is that Fortress Maximus jumps into the Arks power core while Megatron is piloting it and going to use it to attack humanity (or something like that... he's always attacking something in the comics) and destroyed it and himself in the process at the begining of the G2 comic. Marvel comic continuity Megatron once again proves just how bad ass he is as he survives the destruction of both Fortress Maximus and the Ark. RIP Fortress Maximus... I never liked the marvel version of you anyways and your DW version wasn't much better.
Why is War Within Megatron listed on that page?
From the last thread where people didn't believe it happened, a scan from an early issue of the G2 comic where Fort Max (and Spike) destroy the Ark to stop Megatron's plans.
It has no bearing on what happened in the cartoon, but it is part of the Marvel TF continuity, and that is the continuity they're refering to for the titanium Ark.
I usually go by the G1 cartoon when figuring out events but in the end who really cares, just go with whatever makes you happy.
Hmmm, seems like Hasbro is following Marvel comics. Another example is the Vox in Beast Wars aka the "Swamp" from the G2 comics.
