    Arise, Galvatron, Lord of Darkness!

I have been working on this guy for quite a while, I actually started dreaming up this custom shortly after his wave first appeared in my area. When Choosing the deco and style design of the figure, I based it on a few of my favorite incarnations of Galvatron.

See if you can spot them all ;)

very nicely done. I'm not 100% sold on the transformation for the cannon mode, but the tank mode looks great. I also think he would have benefited from painting his waist and upper legs too, as the difference in finish between that and the painted parts is, in my opinion, a little jarring.

Yeah, it looks like I'm on board with the legs looking as well. Like, I'd still keep them coloured more neutral, but the upper part being left the way it is seems like it's unfinished in comparison.

I like the cannon formation, though. :)

@whiskeytango: Thanks, your custom is actually what inspired me to finish up my Galvatron. :D

I see what your saying about the thighs and waist, I dunno why but my camera really exaggerated their difference in texture for some reason. It looks much better in person :)

I am now hosting the images on Picasa because it can auto-resize the images so you guys don't have to use a ton of bandwith/ wait forever to see my custom ;) .

I will leave the original images attached to the post, however, just in case something happens to my images, or you want to see a image more closely, of if you just plain out do not like picasa. :lol

Luckily the forum automatically creates thumbnails of the attached images, so no worries about them hogging bandwith ;)

That galvatron looks great! What did you use to make its crown?

Actually I ended up having to scratch-build it using styrene sheets. I was going to originally use the toes/hands off of RTS Insecticon, but it ended up not working out :(

    Thanks :D !

I really like all of the inspiration from Galvatron artwork infused in this one. The final piece is executed very nicely. Awesome. Address = PMed

I'm curious on the kind of styrene sheets you used for the crown. I may have to copycat ya as I've been wanting to get a custom Galvatron going.
